MIAMI – MARCH 29, 2022 – TelevisaUnivision Inc., the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company, today announced the start of production of “Marea Alta” (High Tide), an exclusive production for ViX+, the new premium Spanish-language SVOD service that will launch during the second half of 2022.
Produced by El Estudio, the young adult thriller starts filming this week in Tijuana and the beaches of Ensenada in Baja California.
The series was written by Ariel Award-winning Spanish screenwriter Antón Goenechea (“Perdida”) and directed by the Spanish Goya Award winner Roger Gual (“Las Chicas del Cable”) and veteran Mexican directors Gabriel Mariño (“Un Mundo Secreto”) and Michelle Garza (“Huesera”).
The original production stars Cassandra Ciangherotti (“Las Horas Contigo”), Noé Hernández (“600 Millas”) and Raúl Méndez (“Paramédicos”). Additionally, it features Alejandro Flores, Fermín Martínez, Giovanna Utrilla, Gustavo Sánchez, Jesica Vite, Leidi Gutiérrez, Matías Gruener and Susana Zabaleta.

As part of the recently announced ViX, the Spanish-language super streamer, features a premium SVOD, ViX+, which will offer more than 10,000 hours of content, including more than 50 series and films, in the first year alone. The service will be available on the main platforms and on the website vix.com in the U.S., Mexico and most other Spanish-speaking Latin American countries.

“Marea Alta”, una Serie de Suspenso Creada Exclusivamente para ViX+, Inicia Rodaje en Baja California

MIAMI – 29 DE MARZO DE 2022 – TelevisaUnivision Inc., la compañía líder de medios y contenido en español en el mundo, anunció hoy el inicio de rodaje de “Marea alta”, una serie de suspenso exclusiva de ViX+, el nuevo servicio premium por suscripción (SVOD) en español que se lanzará en el segundo semestre de 2022.
Producido por El Estudio, el thriller para jóvenes y adultos inició rodaje esta semana en Tijuana y las playas de Ensenada en Baja California.
La serie fue escrita por el guionista español galardonado con el premio Ariel, Antón Goenechea (“Perdida”) y es dirigida por el español ganador del premio Goya, Roger Gual (“Las chicas del cable”) y los experimentados directores mexicanos Gabriel Mariño (“Un mundo secreto”) y Michelle Garza (“Huesera”).
La producción original está protagonizada por Cassandra Ciangherotti (“Las horas contigo”), Noé Hernández (“600 millas”) y Raúl Méndez (“Paramédicos”). Además, cuenta con las actuaciones de Alejandro Flores, Fermín Martinez, Giovanna Utrilla, Gustavo Sánchez, Jesica Vite, Leidi Gutiérrez, Matías Gruener y Susana Zabaleta.

Como parte del recientemente anunciado ViX, el súper streamer en español cuenta con un nivel premium por suscripción (SVOD) ViX+ , el cual ofrecerá más de 10,000 horas de contenido incluyendo más de 50 series y películas, tan solo en el primer año. El servicio estará disponible en las principales plataformas y en el portal vix.com en Estados Unidos, México y la mayoría de los países hispanohablantes de Latinoamérica.
