Univision Ranks as the No. 2 Network on All of Television, Outperforming ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW and All Cable Networks during Primetime for the Entire Week Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

 

For the third consecutive week, Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every single night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

 

MIAMI – FEBRUARY 3, 2022 — Last week, Univision finished as the No. 2 network on all of television, outperforming ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW and all cable networks during primetime for the entire week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Univision also ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+49% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+50% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+58% advantage), marking the 114th consecutive week that it occupied the top-ranked Spanish-language network position.

Univision also saw impressive audience growth as it delivered double-digit primetime audience increases from the comparable week in 2021 among Total Viewers 2+ (+16% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+31% to 643,000) and Adults 18-34 (+12% to 229,000).

Univision increased its audience during primetime by double-digits (+31%) from the comparable week in 2021 while ABC (-32%), CBS (-6%), NBC (-25%), The CW (-48%) and Telemundo (-5%) all reported audience declines with the key Adult 18 to 49 demographic.

 

  • At 8 p.m., “Soltero Con Hijas” attracted 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 730,000 Adults 18-49 and 276,000 Adults 18-34 during its premiere week, positioning Univision as the No. 1 network ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW and all cable networks with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. “Soltero Con Hijas” delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+23%), Adults 18-49 (+32%) and Adults 18-34 (+27%) than the premiere week of its 8 p.m. predecessor, “Diseñando Tu Amor.”

 

  • At 9 p.m., “Vencer El Pasado” delivered 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 747,000 Adults 18-49 and 256,000 Adults 18-34 and made Univision the No. 1 network on all of television, outperforming ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW and all cable networks with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • At 10 p.m., “Madre” averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-over-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+4% to 673,000) and Adults 18-34 (+9 to 248,000), positioning Univision as the No. 1 network on all of television ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC and all cable networks with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • For the third consecutive week, Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every single night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

 

  • As part of Univision’s “Domingo en Familia” programming strategy, the popular reality competition “¿Quién Es la Máscara?” positioned Univision as the third most-watched network on all of television for the entire Sunday night, outperforming ABC, NBC, The CW and all cable networks among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision also ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the fifth consecutive Sunday night with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+85% advantage), Adults 18-49 (+82% advantage) and Adults 18-34 (+77% advantage).

 

  • The fourth telecast of the third installment of “¿Quién Es la Máscara?” averaged 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+ with week-over-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+7% to 518,000) and Adults 18-34 (+12% to 157,000). The reality competition series delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+35%), Adults 18-49 (+49%) and Adults 18-34 (+7%) to the network’s 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. time slot from the comparable Sunday last year and positioned Univision ahead of ABC, NBC, The CW and all cable networks in the time period among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
