NEW YORK – JULY 31, 2018 – The Univision Network aired three hours of premieres Sunday night, driving the network into first place among Spanish-language broadcasters, outperforming Telemundo by double-digits for the entire night (7 to 11 p.m.) in key demos including Total Viewers 2+ (+55 percent), Adults 18-49 (+29 percent) and Adults 18-34 (+36 percent). Additionally, Univision finished ahead of FOX among Adults 18-34, making it the No. 4 broadcast network on Sunday night, regardless of language.

On Sunday night, 4.8 million Total Viewers 2+ tuned in to all or part of the three-hour block that consisted of the sixth season of popular unscripted competition series “Mira Quién Baila” (Look Who’s Dancing), which premiered with a two-hour telecast, from 8 to 10 p.m., followed by the one-hour, second-season premiere of drama series “La Piloto” (The Pilot) at 10 p.m.

“Mira Quién Baila” reached 3.4 million Total Viewers 2+ during its two-hour premiere on the Univision Network. The premiere averaged 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 526,000 Adults 18-49 and 248,000 Adults 18-34, while increased its audience in the second hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+15%), Adults 18-49 (+19%) and Adults 18-34 (+8%). “Mira Quién Baila” delivered double-digit audience growth for the time period among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 compared to the same night in 2017, the prior four Sundays and the month of June 2018. It also outperformed Sunday night’s original airing of NBC’s “Shades of Blue” among Adults 18-34.

At 10 p.m., 3.2 million Total Viewers 2+ tuned in to all or part of the simulcast premiere of “La Piloto” on Univision and UniMás, which delivered a combined average audience of 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 667,000 Adults 18-49 and 261,000 Adults 18-34. The premiere made Univision the No. 2 broadcast network in the 10 p.m. hour, outperforming CBS and NBC among Adults 18-34, and positioned it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network, ahead of Telemundo by double-digits across all key demos. It also attracted more Adult 18-49 and Adult 18-34 viewers in the time period versus comparable night in 2017, the prior four Sundays and the month of June 2018.

“The summer continues to heat up for Univision, and our performance, particularly the hour-to-hour growth during ‘Mira Quién Baila,’ shows that Univision’s Sunday night lineup is bringing Hispanic families of all ages together like no one else in media can,” said Univision Network’s President & Chief Operating Officer Jessica Rodriguez. “We are looking forward to seeing how ‘MQB’ does as the competition intensifies and following the dramatic stories of ‘La Piloto’ every weeknight at 10 p.m.”
