Univision Finished Fourth Quarter 2017 as the No. 1 Spanish-Language Network Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34
Univision Grew its Weeknight Prime Audience in Every Hour; Aired the No. 1 Spanish-Language Program in Both the 8pm and 9pm Hours

Univision finished Fourth Quarter 2017 as the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+ (+18%), Adults 18-49 (+4%) and Adults 18-34 (+3%), beating its closest competitor across key demographics.
- Univision also ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network this past week, marking the eighth consecutive week out-delivering its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+ (+54% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+39% adv.) as well as for the seventh consecutive week with Adults 18-34 (+37% adv.).
Univision was also the fifth largest broadcast network overall with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
Univision out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights this past week among Adults 18-34. Additionally, Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks on six out of seven nights with Adults 18-49.
Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network ranking in the weeknight 8pm and 9pm hours, growing its week-to-week audience and surpassing its closest competitor by double-digit margins.
- For the second consecutive week, “Rey David” helped Univision rank as the No. 4 Broadcast network overall, beating FOX among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
- “Rey David” grew its audience week-to-week with Total Viewers 2+ (+7% to 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+8% to 771,000) and Adults 18-34 (+12% to 306,000)
- “Rey David” also positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the hour with substantial advantages over its closest Spanish-language competitor among Total Viewers 2+ (+94%), Adults 18-49 (+85%) and Adults 18-34 (+82%).
- Univision maintained its No. 4 rank in the weekday 9pm hour among Adults 18-49 and rose to No. 3 with Adults 18-34, beating FOX for the second consecutive week in both demographics. Univision was also the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the hour, outperforming its closest competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+78%), Adults 18-49 (+71%) and Adults 18-34 (+73%).
- The 9pm dramedy, “Mi Marido Tiene Familia” (My Husband Has a Family), grew its audience with Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+4% to 719,000) and Adults 18-34 (to 321,000) over its prior week average.
Univision was the No. 3 network during the weeknight 10pm hour, beating both CBS (+24%) and NBC (+37%) with Adults 18-34. Airing “Caer en Tentación” (Into Temptation), Univision averaged more Total Viewers 2+ (to 1.2 million), Adults 18-49 (+4% to 541,000) and Adults 18-34 (+5% to 231,000) as compared to the previous week.
On Saturday night, Univision was the No. 3 Broadcast network among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, beating FOX, ABC and CBS in both demographics.
- At 8pm, “Rosa de Guadalupe” attracted 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 559,000 Adults 18-49 and 214,000 Adults 18-34. Furthermore, “Rosa de Guadalupe” ranked among the top 5 programs for the night with Adults 18-49 (#5) and Adults 18-34 (#4).
- Following at 10pm, “100 Mexicanos Dijieron” averaged 1.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 428,000 Adults 18-49 and 175,000 Adults 18-34 viewers. “100 Mexicanos Dijieron” also finished the night as a top-ranked program with Adults 18-49 (#6) and Adults 18-34 (#5).
On New Year’s Eve, Univision was the No. 4 broadcast network with Adults 18-34, reporting a +17% adv. over NBC on Sunday night.
