Univision Beat ABC for the Fifth Consecutive Friday Night Among Adults 18-34

Univision was the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the fourth consecutive weekend, with double-digit advantages over its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+ (+28%), Adults 18-49 (+22%) and Adults 18-34 (+12%).

  • On Saturday night, airing back-to-back Liga MX soccer matches, Univision was the No. 1 Spanish-language network, reporting significant advantages over its competitor among Adults 18-49 (+45%) and Adults 18-34 (+56%). Univision also held an +8% competitive advantage with Total Viewers 2+.
    • For the second consecutive Saturday, Univision was the No. 4 network among Adults 18-34, regardless of language, beating NBC by +33%.
  • Univision solidified its position as the No. 1 Spanish-language network on Sunday night, reporting double-digit advantages over its competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+38%) and Adults 18-49 (+14%). In fact, Univision’s entire primetime lineup grew its week-to-week audience with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34, ranking among the top 20 programs for the night.
    • At 7pm, “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now), grew its audience for the second consecutive week with 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+ (+12%) and 599,000 Adults 18-49 (+9%), in addition to 256,000 Adults 18-34 (+11%) over its prior week performance.
    • “Mira Quién Baila” (Look Who’s Dancing) maintained its position as the No. 1 Spanish language reality program for the week, growing its week-to-week audience with Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.9 million), Adults 18-49 (+3% to 757,000) and Adults 18-34 (+4% to 335,000).
    • Following at 10pm, season 2 of “El Chapo” reported double-digit growth over the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (+24% to 1.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (+17% to 665,000), while increasing its Adults 18-34 viewership by +4% (to 272,000).

Univision surpassed ABC (+50%) for the fifth consecutive Friday night with Adults 18-34.

Airing weekdays this past week:

  • Univision was the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the 8pm hour for the second consecutive week, beating its competitor with Total Viewers 2+ (+2%) and Adults 18-34 (+4%). Airing “Rosa de Guadalupe,” Univision attracted 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 584,000 Adults 18-49 and 279,000 Adults 18-34.
  • Univision’s 9pm series, “Mi Marido Tiene Familia” (My Husband Has Family), averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 676,000 Adults 18-49 and 314,000 Adults 18-34.
  • Univision’s new 10pm series, “Caer en Tentación” (Into Temptation), attracted 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 545,000 Adults 18-49 and 251,000 Adults 18-34.
