UniMás Out-Delivers Telemundo in the Monday-Friday 8-9pm Hour for the Fifth Consecutive Week Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49, and Second Consecutive Week Among Young Adults 18-34

UniMás Reporting Season-Over-Season Audience Gains Among Total Viewers 2+

UniMás averaged 715,000 Total Viewers 2+, 345,000 Adults 18-49 and 137,000 young Adults 18-34 for the entire week during prime.

  • Year-over-year (05/30/16-06/05/16), the network reported +6% more Total Viewers 2+ and +2% more Adults 18-49.

UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network during the M-F 8-9pm hour, out-delivering Telemundo, for the fifth consecutive week among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% adv., 1.1 Million vs. 1.0 Million) & Adults 18-49 (+15% adv., 510,000 vs. 442,000) and second consecutive week among young Adults 18-34 (+2% adv., 182,000 vs. 179,000).

On Thursday night, UniMás’ line-up consisted of “Fútbol Central” (7:30-8:15pm), followed by the Mexico vs. Ireland soccer match (8:15-10:30pm) and a special telecast of “40 y 20” (10:30-11:04pm),  which positioned the network as the No. 1 Spanish-language network on this night with 325,000 young Adults 18-34 and as the No. 2 S-L net, out-delivering Telemundo, among Total Viewers 2+ (+27% adv., 1.3 Million vs. 997,000) and Adults 18-49 (+53% adv., 730,000 vs. 477,000). The network also ranked within the Top 5 broadcast networks on this night among Adults 18-49 (No. 5) & young Adults 18-34 (No. 3), while it ranked 7th among Total Viewers 2+.

On Saturday night, UniMás’ line-up consisting of back-to-back movies, “Cine Cantinflas: Romeo y Julieta” and 10pm series, “Los Mosqueteros,” led the network to rank as the No. 2 S-L network for the night beating Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+9% adv., 537,000 vs. 492,000).

On Sunday night, UniMás reported audience gains among young Adults 18-34 (+15% to 118,000) over the prior Sunday. This past Sunday’s line-up included back-to-back movies, “Cineplex: Eye See You” (6-8pm) & “Cine de las Estrellas: Mortal Enemies” (8-10pm) and 10pm series, “La Hermandad.”

  • Sunday-to-Sunday, “La Hermandad” registered significant audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+34% to 345,000), Adults 18-49 (+45% to 177,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+123% to 105,000).

With a median age of 41 years old, UniMás attracted the youngest audience of any broadcast network while it also averaged more viewers during broadcast prime than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV among Total Viewers 2+ (+136% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+162% adv.) and young Adults 18-34 (+163% adv.).

In the current 2016/17 Season, UniMás is delivering more Total Viewers 2+ (+2% to 701,000) during broadcast prime compared to the same weeks in the 2015/16 Season.
