UnivisionNoticias.com to publish a weekly selection of content from Harvard University’s Nieman Journalism Lab, translated into Spanish
MIAMI – APRIL 25, 2017 – Univision News, the award-winning news division of Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, has partnered with Harvard University’s Nieman Journalism Lab, the nation’s foremost online publication dedicated exclusively to covering the evolution and future of digital news media in an effort to help news organizations navigate the transition into the digital age. Through this alliance, Univision News will publish a weekly selection of recent content from Nieman Lab, translated into Spanish, to provide Spanish-speaking journalists in the United States and around the world with direct access to the latest news, trends, and innovations from the field of digital journalism.
The roundup will include articles on a variety of topics related to the practice and future of digital journalism, as well as Nieman Lab’s weekly column on the burning issue of fake news.

Founded in 2008 as a collaborative effort to investigate future models that could support quality journalism in the digital age, Nieman Journalism Lab identifies and promotes innovation in how the news gets reported, shared, consumed and paid for. It is part of Harvard University’s Nieman Foundation for Journalism, which administers the oldest fellowship program for journalists in the world and works on other projects to advance the field.

(UCI), la principal empresa de medios de comunicación al servicio de la comunidad hispana en los Estados Unidos, se ha asociado con Nieman Journalism Lab, de la Universidad de Harvard, la más importante página web del país dedicada exclusivamente a cubrir la evolución y el futuro de los medios digitales con la intención de ayudar a las organizaciones de noticias a navegar exitosamente la transición a la era digital. Gracias a esta alianza, Univision Noticias publicará una selección semanal de contenido reciente de Nieman Lab, traducido al español, para brindarles a periodistas de habla hispana en los Estados Unidos y el resto del mundo acceso directo a las últimas noticias, tendencias e innovaciones del campo del periodismo digital.
La selección de contenido en español incluirá artículos sobre una amplia variedad de temas relacionados con la práctica y el futuro del periodismo digital, además de la columna semanal de Nieman Lab sobre el candente tema de las noticias falsas (“fake news”).

La publicación digital pertenece a la Fundación para el Periodismo Nieman (Nieman Foundation for Journalism) de la Universidad Harvard, la cual administra el programa de becas para periodistas más antiguo en el mundo y trabaja en otros proyectos para avanzar el campo.
