UniMás’ “Moisés y los Diez Mandamientos” Out-Delivers Telemundo’s New Novela, “La Fan,” Head-to-Head in the 8pm Time Period

Week of January 16, 2017 to January 22, 2017
UniMás delivered its highest-rated week thus far in the current 2016/17 season, while posting week-to-week double-digit percentage audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+16% to 798,000), Adults 18-49 (+20% to 386,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+34% to 169,000) during broadcast prime.
Versus the same week a year ago (01/18/16 – 01/24/16), UniMás attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+25%), Adults 18-49 (+13%) and young Adults 18-34 (+6%).
The network delivered its highest-rated weekly performance in the current 2016/2017 season during weekday prime (M-F 8-11pm), while registering week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+6% to 749,000), Adults 18-49 (+7% to 351,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+18% to 150,000).
- At 8pm, “Moisés y los Diez Mandamientos” achieved its highest-rated weekly performance, while delivering week-to-week gains for the fourth consecutive week among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 1.3 Million), Adults 18-49 (+7% to 585,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+7% to 242,000).
- During the M-F 9pm hour, “La Viuda Negra” posted week-to-week gains among young Adults 18-34 (+12% to 109,000) and averaged 529,000 Total Viewers 2+ and 255,000 Adults 18-49.
- UniMás’ new 10pm dramatic series “Blue Demon” delivered 373,000 Total Viewers 2+, 196,000 Adults 18-49 and 89,000 young Adults 18-34 in its first week (Monday-Friday). Compared to the previous four weeks, it grew the time-period by strong margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+32%), Adults 18-49 (+30%) and young Adults 18-34 (+69%).
With a back-to-back film line-up that included “Cine Cantinflas: Ni Sangre, Ni Arena” and “Cineplex: IP Man”, UniMás registered more Total Viewers 2+ (+12% to 908,000), Adults 18-49 (+14% to 429,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+53% to 201,000) versus the previous Saturday night.
On Sunday night, UniMás also reported noticeable audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+71% to 900,000), Adults 18-49 (+82% to 485,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+81% to 215,000) over the prior Sunday thanks to its line-up which consisted of back-to-back “Cine de las Estrellas” movies featuring the titles “The Shepard” and “In Time.”
With a median age of 39 years old, UniMás attracted the youngest audience of any broadcast network while also averaging more viewers during broadcast prime than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV among Total Viewers 2+ (+143% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+180% adv.) and young Adults 18-34 (+207% adv.).
