UniMás Out-Delivers Telemundo on Both Saturday and Sunday Night Among Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34

Week of December 19, 2016 to December 25, 2016

  •  During the final week of the 2016 broadcast year, UniMás delivered over half-a-million Total Viewers 2+ (573,000), 290,000 Adults 18-49 and 116,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • UniMás increased its audience by double-digit margins week-to-week during broadcast prime among Total Viewers 2+ (+17%), Adults 18-49 (+22%) and young Adults 18-34 (+27%).
  • UniMás delivered its second highest-rated performance on both Saturday and Sunday during broadcast prime in the current 2016/2017 season as well as double-digit audience growth over prior week performance – on both nights – with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.
  • On Saturday night, UniMás’ back-to-back comedy film line-up that included “Cine Cantinflas” which featured “El Padrecito” followed by “Home Alone 4” outperformed Telemundo in the 8pm to 11pm time period among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% adv.; 805,000 vs. 731,000), Adults 18-49 (+15% adv.; 438,000 vs. 382,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+2% adv.; 186,000 vs. 182,000).
  • Featuring the 2011 animated film “Rio” and adventure film “Three Musketeers” on “Cine De Las Estrellas,” UniMás’ averaged 741,000 Total Viewers 2+ and out-delivered Telemundo to rank as the No. 2 Spanish-language Network during the Sunday 7pm to 11pm time period with strong audience advantages of +39% among young Adults 18-34 (203,000 vs. 146,000) and +13% among Adults 18-49 (409,000 vs. 363,000).
  • With a median age of 38 years old, UniMás attracted the youngest audience of any broadcast network while also averaging more viewers during broadcast prime than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV among Total Viewers 2+ (+55% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+79% adv.) and young Adults 18-34 (+61% adv.).
