Experts from state and local organizations will answer questions on immigrant rights, laws prohibiting employment and housing discrimination and unsolicited scam calls via 1-800-566-7636
NEW YORK, NY – DECEMBER 2, 2016 – Univision New York, including WXTV Univision 41 and talk radio station WADO 1280 AM, as well as El Diario have partnered with several local and state groups, to host community call centers via the toll-free phone number 1-800-566-7636 on December 6 – 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST.
Callers will be able to get answers to questions or concerns, in English and Spanish, that they may have on topics related to immigrant and human rights as well as employment and housing discriminations, among other issues.
The phone banks will be staffed by volunteers from the New York Immigration Coalition, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, the New York State Office of New Americans and Catholic Charities Community Service.
“Our community depends on us for the latest news and information on the most critical issues impacting their lives. Working with El Diario and our many local and state-level partners, we hope to help individuals and families clear up any doubts, anxieties or fears they might have about their current immigration, housing or employment situations,” said Ramon Pineda, senior vice president and general manager of Univision New York.

NUEVA YORK, NY – 2 DE DICIEMBRE DE 2016 – Univision Nueva York, que incluye WXTV Univision 41 y la estación de entrevistas WADO 1280 AM, y El Diario se han asociado con varios grupos locales y estatales para ofrecer centros de llamadas comunitarias, al número gratuito 1-800-566-7636, de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. Este del 6 al 8 de diciembre.
Las personas que llamen podrán obtener respuesta, en inglés o español, a las preguntas o inquietudes que tengan sobre temas relacionados a inmigración y derechos humanos, así como también discriminación en el empleo y vivienda, entre otros asuntos.
Las estaciones telefónicas estarán a cargo de voluntarios de New York Immigration Coalition, New York State Division of Human Rights, New York City Commission on Human Rights, New York State Office of New Americans y Catholic Charities Community Service.
