MIAMI, FL – JULY 7, 2016 – A stellar lineup will celebrate the good old days during Univision Network’s “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards) featuring iconic sounds and rhythms from past decades, including group dance favorite “Macarena.” The Throwback Thursday theme will provide a fun flashback for the 13th annual celebration of today’s hottest music, TV, film, and sports stars among Hispanic youth, which will air LIVE on the Univision Network on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central).
Among the highlights of the hit summer awards ceremony, popular groups Gente de Zona and Los del Río will perform “Más Macarena,” a remake of the 90s party hit created exclusively for the show. Fans who dust off their old moves and post a video of themselves dancing “Macarena” on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using hashtag #PJMasMacarena will have the chance for a few seconds of fame on the PJ stage.
Throughout the night, artists will evoke bygone days with #TBT moments and celebrate what’s hot today. Confirmations continue to roll in as top music stars line up to perform their biggest hits at PJ 2016. Enrique Iglesias will be on hand with a #TBT performance of one of his greatest hits, and will perform his new single, “Duele el Corazón.” Miami urban music superstar Pitbull also promises an amazing #TBT moment.
Up-and-coming Latin singer and 2016 PJ nominee Leslie Grace and reunited Mexican group Magneto are also set to perform. Mexican band Reik will bring their guitar riffs to the PJ stage, and former Dark Latin Groove member Huey Dunbar will perform.
Reggaetón and urban music will be represented by an all-star lineup featuring Wisin, who is in the running for four awards. Puerto Rican reggaetón duo Zion y Lennox will perform and Yandel is also slated to bring his reggaetón rhythms to the PJ stage. In addition, reggaetón pioneer and 2016 nominee Daddy Yankee will also be on hand, while the new generation of urban artists will be represented by I am Chino. Merenhouse groups Ilegales, Magic Juan and Proyecto Uno are also ready to wow the crowd.
Mexican singer-songwriter Mario Domm and Venezuelan pop duo Chino & Nacho will light up the PJ stage, as will singer and nominee Luis Figueroa.
2016 PJ nominee Chiquis will hit the stage but will begin captivating fans early as she is confirmed as the celebrity host of the arrivals carpet.
The action will get underway starting at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT (6:00 p.m. Central) with the talent arrivals during “Noche de Estrellas de Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards All-Stars Night) pre-show. Carlos Calderón, Daniela Di Giacomo and William Valdés, along with Chiquis, will host the pre-show. Valdés will also be the Social Media Host of the awards show. Cuban newcomer Jacob Forever will perform his breakout summertime hit “Hasta que se seque el Malecón,” along with Puerto Rican urban artist Farruko, while Mexican singer and actress Maite Perroni plans to delight the fans with her new music single.

Entre los momentos más esperados de la exitosa ceremonia de premiación del verano, los populares grupos Gente de Zona y Los del Río presentarán “Más Macarena”, una nueva versión de la popular canción que fue un éxito en las fiestas de la década de los noventa, creada exclusivamente para el programa. Representará la música reggaetón y urbana un grupo estelar que incluye a Wisin, candidato a cuatro premios. El dúo puertorriqueño reggaetonero Zion y Lennox cantará y además se tiene programado que Yandel lleve sus ritmos de reggaetón al escenario de PJ. Además, Daddy Yankee, pionero del reggaetón y nominado del 2016, también estará presente, mientras que una nueva generación de artistas urbanos estará representada por I am Chino.
