UniMás Beat Telemundo on Three Nights This Past Week with Adults 18-49

On Tuesday night, UniMás edged out Telemundo as the No. 2 Spanish-language network with Adults 18-49 (+3%, 871,000). Contributing to UniMás’ strong ratings was live coverage of the Copa America match between Chile and Panama. The 7:30pm soccer match ended in a 4-2 Chile win and attracted 2.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 million Adults 18-49 and 441,000 young Adults 18-34.

On Thursday night, UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+56%, 2.2 Million), Adults 18-49 (+73%, 1.2 Million) and young Adults 18-34 (+74%, 555,000).

  • Driving UniMás’ double-digit percentage advantage over Telemundo was the highly anticipated match-up between USA and Ecuador. 3.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 million Adults 18-49 and 807,000 young Adults 18-34 tuned as a USA beat Ecuador 2-1.

Airing its regularly scheduled back-to-back movie lineup on Saturday night, UniMás clinched the No. 2 Spanish-language rank, beating Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+11%) and Adults 18-49 (+17%).

  • At 7pm, the Cine Cantinflas movie presentation of “Caballero a la Medida” attracted 436,000 Total Viewers 2+, 151,000 Adults 18-49 and 63,000 young Adults 18-34. Airing head-to-head with Telemundo’s “Que Noche,” UniMás’ movie presentation attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+3%) and young Adults 18-49 (+10%) than Telemundo.
  • Following at 9pm, the feature film “Knight and Day” built on its lead-in and delivered 684,000 Total Viewers 2+, 304,000 Adults 18-49 and 116,000 young Adults 18-34. The 9pm film out-delivered Telemundo’s movie in the time period by +16% among Total Viewers 2+ and +23% among Adults 18-49.
  • Season-to-date, UniMás ranks as the No. 2 Spanish-language network on Saturday nights with Total Viewers 2+ (+6%), Adults 18-49 (+16%) and young Adults 18-34 (+17%). Furthermore, thus far in 2nd quarter, UniMás has out-ranked Telemundo on 10 out of 12 Saturday nights.

In the current 2015/16 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2014/15 Season with Total Viewers 2+ (+27%), Adults 18-49 (+19%) and young Adults 18-34 (+13%) during broadcast prime.

Versus the same week a year ago (06/15/15 – 06/21/15), UniMás more than tripled its viewership with Total Viewers 2+ (+63%), Adults 18-49 (+59%) and young Adults 18-34 (+58%).

UniMás, on average, delivered more than double the Total Viewers 2+ (+164%) and more than triple the Adults 18-49 (+247%) and young Adults 18-34 (+267%) viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoMax.
