NEW YORK, NY – MAY 17, 2016 – Netflix, the world’s leading Internet TV network, and Univision Story House, Univision Communications Inc.’s (UCI) new development and production arm, announced that they will co-produce a boundary-breaking drama series, “El Chapo,” based on the life story of one of the world’s most notorious criminals.
“El Chapo” will be available to Netflix members in the U.S. following its television airing on UniMás in 2017. In the rest of the world, episodes of “El Chapo” will premiere exclusively on Netflix.

The announcement is part of an unprecedented promotional and co-production agreement between Netflix and Univision. Earlier today the companies announced that Univision Network and UniMás will be the first U.S. networks to air full seasons of Netflix’s original series “Narcos” and “Club de Cuervos” respectively.

NETFLIX Y UNIVISION STORY HOUSE COPRODUCIRÁN UNA SERIE SOBRE “EL CHAPO”
NUEVA YORK, NY – 17 DE MAYO DE 2016 – Netflix, la principal red de televisión por Internet en el mundo, y Univision Story House, la nueva división de desarrollo y producción de Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), anunciaron que producirán conjuntamente una serie dramática que romperá fronteras, “El Chapo”, que se basará en la vida de uno de los criminales más conocidos del mundo.
“El Chapo” estará disponible a los miembros de Netflix en los Estados Unidos tras su trasmisión en UniMás en el 2017. En el resto del mundo, los episodios de “El Chapo” se estrenarán exclusivamente en Netflix.
