Inside Radio: Univision Again Helps St. Jude Fulfill Promise and hope

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will partner with Univision Local Media to host the annual St. Jude Promesa y Esperanza (Promise and Hope) radio event April 7-8. The event is held to support St. Jude, which aids with childhood cancers and other life-threatening diseases.

Since its inception in 2006, St. Jude Promesa y Esperanza has raised more than $52 million.

Univision radio listeners in 17 cities will be asked to become Angeles de Esperanza (Angels of Hope) by pledging a monthly donation of $20 or more. St. Jude Promesa y Esperanza will be supported by Univision Local Media with 30+ hours of radio programming.

“Univision is a mission-driven company with a legacy of service to our communities across the U.S.,” said Randy Falco, president and CEO of Univision Communications. “This partnership with St. Jude underscores our core values and is one of the ways we give back.”

Among Univision on-air personalities supporting the event are: Javier Romero of “Desayuno Musical,” Raúl Brindis of “El Show de Raúl Brindis,” Alberto Sardiñas of “Intimo,” Enrique Santos of “El Show de Enrique Santos,” Omar Velasco and Argelia Atilano of “El show de Omar y Argelia,” Raúl Molinar, Sylvia del Valle and Andrés Maldonado of “El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo,” Pamela Silva Conde of “Primer Impacto” and Raúl de Molina of “El Gordo y La Flaca.”
