12 former finalists return to NBL for a second shot at the coveted title
Beloved reigning beauty and “Despierta América” co-host Francisca Lachapel returns to NBL as social media presenter; Chiquinquira Delgado and Javier Poza are back to host the popular competition

MIAMI, FL – JANUARY 26, 2016 – To celebrate a decade of talent, beauty and behind-the-scenes drama, Univision Network’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) dials it all up a notch with its first ever VIP edition — a new twist to the most popular and longest-running reality beauty competition on U.S. Spanish-language television.
The VIP edition of the top-rated TV beauty contest will bring new challenges, more excitement, and a new concept. Selected from 99 finalists from previous seasons, 12 have another chance to walk down the catwalk, capture the audience’s heart and be able to go through the competition to go home with the crown and make their dream of becoming a TV star come true. Starting with the show’s premiere on Sunday, February 28th at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central), viewers will get to decide who will return in the following episodes of the glamorous competition.
Beginning on Sunday, February 7th through Tuesday, February 23rd, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” will reveal via its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts who will get another chance at becoming queen.
NBL VIP will be the contest’s most interactive season yet. Participants will have access to their social networks and will stay in touch with fans.
Over the past nine seasons full of touching stories, controversies and emotional episodes since NBL’s inception, 108 women have taken part in the competition. As part of the 10th anniversary, the show will showcase its “beauty with a purpose” aspect by letting viewers see the many ways in which the crown has changed the lives of some past queens and other contestants, and how it served as a platform to launch their careers and grow as enterprising women.
Among the past queens featured prominently in the 10th season of NBL will be Francisca Lachapel, who, after charming audiences with her popular character Mela Lamelaza and earning the top spot last year, went on to become co-host of “Despierta América” (Wake Up America”), Univision Network’s top-rated morning program. In addition to handing her crown over to this year’s winner, Lachapel will act as NBL’s social media reporter throughout the season.
Returning to host this season will be Univision personality, actress and model Chiquinquirá Delgado, and TV and radio host Javier Poza.

MIAMI, FL – 26 DE ENERO DE 2016 – Para celebrar una década de talento, belleza y drama detrás del escenario, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” de la Cadena Univision irá más lejos que nunca con su primera edición VIP, dándole un giro novedoso a la competencia reality de belleza más popular y de más larga trayectoria de la televisión en español en los Estados Unidos.
La edición VIP del concurso de belleza de alta sintonía en televisión presentará nuevos desafíos, más emoción y un nuevo concepto. Esta vez, 12 finalistas seleccionadas entre las 99 de temporadas pasadas tendrán la oportunidad de recorrer la pasarela, robarse el corazón de la audiencia y la posibilidad de irse a casa con la corona y hacer realidad su sueño de convertirse en estrella de televisión. A partir del estreno del programa el domingo, 28 de febrero a las 8 p.m. Este/Pacífico (7 p.m. Centro), los televidentes podrán decidir quiénes continuarán en la glamorosa competencia.
A partir del domingo, 7 de febrero hasta el martes, 23 de febrero, “Nuestra Belleza Latina” revelará vía sus cuentas de Facebook, Twitter e Instagram quiénes tendrán otra oportunidad de ser reina.
NBL VIP será la temporada del concurso más interactiva hasta la fecha. Las participantes tendrán acceso a sus redes sociales y estarán en contacto con los fans.
Durante las nueve temporadas con historias conmovedoras, controversias y episodios emotivos desde la incepción de NBL, 108 mujeres han participado en la competencia. Como parte de la celebración por el 10mo aniversario, el programa destacará el aspecto de “belleza con un propósito” al permitir que los televidentes vean las muchas maneras en que la corona ha cambiado la vida de reinas pasadas y otras concursantes, y les ha servido de plataforma para lanzar su carrera y desarrollarse como mujeres emprendedoras.
Entre las reinas pasadas que tendrán un lugar prominente en la 10ma temporada de NBL estará Francisca Lachapel, quien tras cautivar a la audiencia con su popular personaje Mela Lamelaza y obtener el primer lugar el año pasado, pasó a ser una copresentadora de “Despierta América”, el programa matutino de alta sintonía de la Cadena Univision. Además de entregarle la corona a la ganadora de este año, Lachapel se desempeñará como reportera de medios sociales de NBL durante toda la temporada.
Regresarán como presentadores de esta temporada la celebridad de Univision, actriz y modelo Chiquinquirá Delgado, y el presentador de radio y televisión Javier Poza.
