In its Premiere Week, “Ruta 35” Grew UniMás’ Adults 18-49 and Young Adults 18-34 Audience Versus the Prior Week
UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of January 11, 2016 to January 17, 2016
UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-language network beating Telemundo for the entire weekend among Total Viewers 2+ (+17%), Adults 18-49 (+16%) and young Adults 18-34 (+12%).
- UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the second consecutive Saturday Night. UniMás outperformed Telemundo by double-digits on Saturday night with Total Viewers 2+ (+17%), Adults 18-49 (+28%) and young Adults 18-34 (+28%).
- Airing head-to-head UniMás Cine Cantinflas film “Si Yo Fuera Diputado” out-delivered Telemundo’s movie “2 Fast 2 Furious” among Total Viewers 2+ (+39%) and Adults 18-49 viewers (+14%).
- At 9 p.m. UniMás feature film presentation “The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon” significantly out-delivered Telemundo’s “¡Qué Noche!” in the time period among Total Viewers 2+ (+11%), Adults 18-49 viewers (+41%) and young Adults 18-34 (+59%).
- In fact, UniMás’ back-to-back feature film lineup averaged more Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 than Telemundo’s entire primetime line-up.
- On Sunday night, UniMás maintained its position as the No. 2 Spanish-language network over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+17%), Adults 18-49 (+8%) and young Adults 18-34 (+1%).
- UniMás kicked off the night with the feature presentation “Hugo” (7pm -9:30pm) and attracted 849,000 Total Viewers 2+, 418,000 Adults 18-49 and 184,000 young Adults 18-34.
- Following at 9:30 p.m. UniMás’ Cineplex movie “Jackie Chan’s First Strike” averaged 827,000 Total Viewers 2+, 410,000 Adults 18-49 and 186,000 young Adults 18-34.
In its premiere week (Tuesday – Friday) UniMás’ new dramatic series “Ruta 35” grew UniMás’ audience among Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34 versus the same period last week. Airing in a two-hour block, “Ruta 35” averaged 495,000 Total Viewers 2+, 271,000 Adults 18-49 and 131,000 young Adults 18-34 during premiere week.
- Versus the comparable period a week ago, “Ruta 35” attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+2%), Adults 18-49 (+12%) and young Adults 18-34 (+26%).
- The Tuesday night premiere of “Ruta 35”reached nearly 1.4 million viewers and ranked among the highest rated primetime premieres on UniMás with Total Viewers 2+ (#14), Adults 18-49 (#16) and young Adults 18-34 (#21).
UniMás reported week-over week primetime audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 640,000), Adults 18-49 (+10% to 328,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+11% to 155,000).
Versus the same week a year ago (01/12/15 – 01/18/15), UniMás attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+10%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%).
In the current 2015/16 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2014/15 Season among Total Viewers 2+ (+19%) and Adults 18-49 (+9%) during broadcast prime.
UniMás, on average, delivered more viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoMax among Total Viewers 2+ (+31%) and more than double the Adults 18-49 (+62%) and young Adults 18-34 (+78%).
