“Aquí y Ahora” Reached 6.3 Million Total Viewers 2+ with “La Recaptura de El Chapo Guzman” and Delivered More Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34 than CBS’ “60 Minutes” on Sunday Night

NEW YORK – JANUARY 13, 2016 – Univision Network delivered impressive ratings with the telecast of “La Captura de El Chapo” which aired on Saturday, January 9th from 9:00pm to 11:00pm ET and “Aquí y Ahora: La Recaptura de El Chapo Guzman” which aired on Sunday, January 10th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm ET.  “La Captura de El Chapo” averaged 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 863,000 Adults 18-49 and 407,000 young Adults 18-34 and made Univision the No. 2 broadcast network during the two-hour airing, out-delivering ABC, NBC and FOX among young Adults 18-34 and beating FOX among both Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.  Reaching 6.3 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned-in to all or part of the three-hour broadcast, “Aquí y Ahora: La Recaptura de El Chapo Guzman”  delivered an average audience of 3.0 million Total Viewers 2+ during the three-hour airing  and outperformed CBS’ “60 Minutes” on Sunday night with 1.4 million Adults 18-49 and 580,000 young Adults 18-34.

“La Captura de El Chapo” aired on Saturday January 9th, 2016:

  • Made Univision the No. 3 broadcast network for the entire night among young Adults 18-34, beating NBC and FOX as well as the No. 4 broadcast network, ahead of FOX with Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.
  • Increased its audience by double-digit margins in the second hour compared to the first hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+20%), Adults 18-49 (+21%) and young Adults 18-34 (+25%).
  • Ranked among the top 10 most-watched programs on all of television, regardless of language, with Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34.

“Aquí y Ahora La Recaptura de El Chapo Guzman” aired on Sunday January 10th, 2016:

  • Made Univision the No. 3 Network (broadcast or cable) among Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34 while  the fourth largest among Total Viewers 2+ during the time period and for the entire night.
  • Ranked among the top 10 most-watched programs on all of television, regardless of language, with Adults 18-49 and top 15 with young Adults 18-34.
  • Consistently grew its audience across every hour with significant audience growth in the last hour compared to the first hour among Adults 18-49 (+40%) and young Adults 18-34 (+55%).

  • Page views and the frequency with which users returned to Univision’s assorted digital products increased by 97%.
