WHAT: “Ruta 35” (Route 35) tells the story of a web of manufacturers, distributors and agents in the drug cartels who resort to the American federal government’s informant network to stay out of prison in exchange for information. However, the same system that keeps them free from going behind bars traps them in a web of betrayals and lies and exposes them to the risks of being discovered as informants.
Leading actress Danna Garcia returns to the small screen as Sofia, a woman caught in a violent love triangle who resorts to Ruta 35 to protect her son and the man she really loves. Her husband Rogelio’s (Miguel Rodarte) insatiable need for power and vengeance lead him to wage a war on Domingo (Julio Bracho), including murdering his family. Domingo is focused on retaining control of the drug empire his family was once the head of but then too turns to “Ruta 35” to facilitate his plans.

QUÉ: “Ruta 35” relata la historia de una red de fabricantes, distribuidores y agentes de los carteles de drogas quienes recurren a la red de informantes del gobierno federal de los Estados Unidos para permanecer fuera de la cárcel, a cambio de información. Sin embargo, el propio sistema que los mantiene libres les tiende una trampa con una serie de traiciones y mentiras, y los expone a los riesgos de conlleva que se divulgue que son informantes.
La actriz principal Danna García regresa a la pantalla pequeña como Sofía, quien se ve atrapada en un violento triángulo amoroso y recurre a la Ruta 35 para proteger a su hijo y al hombre al que ama. La necesidad insaciable de poder y venganza de su esposo, Rogelio, (Miguel Rodarte) lo llevan a hacerle la guerra a Domingo (Julio Bracho), lo que incluye el asesinato de su familia. Domingo se concentra en retener control del imperio de drogas que su familia encabezó alguna vez, pero luego regresa también a “Ruta 35” para facilitar sus planes.
