UniMás Reported Season-over-Season Audience Growth Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49

UniMás Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of December 14, 2015 to December 20, 2015

UniMás was the top network pick over Telemundo for the entire weekend among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%), Adults 18-49 (+25%) and young Adults 18-34 (+38%).

  • UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network for the second consecutive Saturday night, delivering more Total Viewers 2+ (+5%) than Telemundo.  UniMás also outperformed Telemundo by double-digits on Saturday night with both Adults 18-49 (+58%) and young Adults 18-34 (+74%).
    • Airing head-to-head 9 p.m.-11 p.m., UniMás’ Cineplex movie “Counterpunch” out-delivered Telemundo’s “Qué Noche” among Adults 18-49 (+42%) and young Adults 18-34 viewers (+59%).
    • In fact, UniMás’ back-to-back feature film lineup (including the 8-9 p.m. second half of Cine Cantinflas) averaged more Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34 than Telemundo’s entire primetime lineup.
    • Season-to-date, UniMás out-ranks Telemundo as the No. 2 Spanish-language network on Saturday nights among Total Viewers 2+ (+5%).
  • On Sunday night, UniMás was the No. 2 Spanish-language network over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+8%), Adults 18-49 (+8%) and young Adults 18-34 (+15%).
    • UniMás kicked off the night with the feature presentation “Jonah Hex” (7 p.m. -8:30 p.m.) and averaged 834,000 Total Viewers 2+, 392,000 Adults 18-49 and 150,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Following at 8:30 p.m., UniMás’ Cineplex movie “Defiance” built on its lead-in to average 936,000 Total Viewers 2+, 495,000 Adults 18-49 and 237,000 young Adults 18-34.

Versus the same week a year ago (12/15/14 – 12/21/14), UniMás attracted significantly more Total Viewers 2+ (+38%), Adults 18-49 (+30%) and young Adults 18-34 (+20%).

UniMás, on average, delivered more viewers than the combined audience of Estrella, Azteca and MundoMax among Total Viewers 2+ (+58%) and more than double the Adults 18-49 (+110%) and young Adults 18-34 (+133%).

In the current 2015/16 Season, UniMás is over-delivering the same weeks in the 2014/15 Season among Total Viewers 2+ (+19%), Adults 18-49 (+10%) and young Adults 18-34 (+7%) during broadcast prime.
