MIAMI, FL – DECEMBER 17, 2015 – Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) that also includes UDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports network, today announced additional confirmed guests for its back-to-back special programming covering every angle of its second annual “Premios Univision Deportes” (Univision Sports Awards) –an evening to honor and celebrate athletic talent for their passion and excellence in sports and their connection to Hispanic American sports fanáticos.
The evening promises strong star power from many different sports. From the world of soccer, confirmed international celebrities include coaches Jill Ellis, Jorge Sampaoli and Tomás Boy, and players Fabián Castillo, Marco Fabián, Omar Bravo, and Real Madrid soccer legend Raúl. In addition, among the expected attendees are also boxing promoter Don King, world champion Evander Holyfield, and fighters Miguel Cotto and Leo Santa Cruz, plus reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry, MLB World Series Champion Salvador Pérez and superstar triple crown winning jockey Víctor Espinoza. The night will also recognize the late José Sulaimán, long-time head of the World of Boxing Council. Son and WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán will accept the special award on his behalf.
On the entertainment side, international stars include Chantal Andere, Patricio Borguetti, Marjorie De Sousa, Sherlyn González, Malillany Marín, Gabriel Soto, 2014 “Va Por Ti” (This One’s for You) finalist Fernando Corona, 2015 “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) Francisca Lachapel, Univision entertainment reporter Tanya Charry, former Miss Universe winner Zuleyka Rivera and Mexican comedians Roxana Castellanos and Adrián Uribe.
Hosted by Univision’s Julián Gil and Jacqueline Bracamontes, the show will count on special, high energy performances by Calibre 50, Luis Coronel, Cristian Daniel, Farruko, Espinoza Paz and Daddy Yankee. Reykon and Bebe Rexha will join the sports celebration, performing Univision Deportes’ official 2015 Gold Cup song, “All the Way.” Víctor Manuelle joins Diego Torres for the first time on stage with “Hoy es Domingo.”

La velada promete una gran cantidad de estrellas en los diferentes deportes. Del mundo del fútbol, entre las celebridades internacionales que han confirmado su participación están los entrenadores Jill Ellis, Jorge Sampaoli y Tomás Boy, y los jugadores Fabián Castillo, Marco Fabián, Omar Bravo, como también el legendario futbolista de Real Madrid Raúl.
