Adriana Louvier and Gabriel Soto in Univision’s new primetime telenovela “Yo No Creo en Los Hombres” (I Don’t Trust Men)
WHAT: Univision Network’s latest telenovela “Yo no Creo en los Hombres” (I Don’t Trust Men) is the award-winning tale of women who have lost all hope and trust in men. The pain and low self-esteem caused by members of the opposite sex leads these women to seek vengeance by any means possible. The story centers on a hardworking and beautiful young woman who suffers deeply at the hands of all of the important male figures in her life and also at the hands of a malicious family that torments her. The telenovela took home seven accolades at Premios TV y Novelas 2015, including Best Cast and Best Direction, as well as Best Leading Actress for Adriana Louvier.
Maria Dolores, played by Adriana Louvrier, is a poor and noble girl who is unjustly fired from her job as a seamstress due to false accusations of theft from her supervisor.
The drama continues as Maria faces family pressure to care for her family after the tragic death of her father, played by José Angel. Maria is wrongly suspected of murdering her own father and meets Maximiliano Bustamante (Gabriel Soto), a handsome and honest lawyer, while at the police station. Maximiliano overhears her conversation, and deeply impressed by her beauty and spirit, offers to help her. The valiant protagonist is faced with the possibility of falling in love
Her relationship with the handsome lawyer is complicated because even though there is a deep attraction between them, both are involved with other people. He is engaged to Maleny (Sophie Alexander), a high society, spoiled and capricious girl who doesn´t really love him and is cheating on him with her tennis instructor, Ari (Lenny de La Rosa). Maria Dolores is dating Daniel Santibañez (Flavio Medina) an unscrupulous man who is lying to her since he is in fact engaged with Ivana (Sonia Franco), a young heiress who is not very attractive but who will help him avoid his family´s bankruptcy.
As their life gets complicated by ambition, jealousy and evil lies, will Maximiliano be able to help Maria Dolores regain her hope and trust in men again? Will the other women in the telenovela also find love?

QUÉ: La más reciente telenovela de la Cadena Univision, “Yo No Creo en los Hombres”, es un galardonado relato de mujeres que han perdido toda la esperanza y confianza en los hombres. El dolor y la poca autoestima causada por los miembros del sexo opuesto hacen que estas mujeres busquen la venganza por cualquier medio posible. La historia se centra en una joven muy trabajadora y bella que sufre mucho por causa de todos los varones importantes en su vida, quienes la decepcionan, como también a manos de una familia malvada que la atormenta. La telenovela recibió siete galardones en Premios TV y Novelas 2015, entre ellos Mejor Reparto y Mejor Dirección, además de Actriz Protagónica para Adriana Louvier.
María Dolores, interpretada por Adriana Louvrier, es una muchacha pobre y noble que es despedida injustamente de su trabajo como costurera debido a acusaciones falsas de parte de su supervisor de que está robando.
El drama continúa cuando la familia de María la presiona para que cuide de ella tras la muerte de su padre, protagonizado por José Ángel. Se sospecha equivocadamente que María asesinó a su propio padre, por lo que conoce en la estación de policía a Maximiliano Bustamante (Gabriel Soto), un abogado atractivo y honesto. Maximiliano oye por casualidad la conversación, queda muy impresionado con su belleza y carácter, y se ofrece a ayudarla. La valiente protagonista enfrenta la posibilidad de enamorarse. Su relación con el apuesto abogado se complica porque a pesar de que sienten mucha atracción uno por el otro, ambos están en una relación con otra persona. Él está comprometido con Maleny (Sophie Alexander), una muchacha de sociedad que es engreída y caprichosa, quien en realidad no lo quiere y lo engaña con su maestro de tenis, Ari (Lenny de La Rosa). María Dolores sale con Daniel Santibáñez (Flavio Medina), un hombre sin escrúpulos quien la engaña pues en realidad está comprometido con Ivana (Sonia Franco), una joven heredera quien no es muy agraciada pero lo ayudará a evitar que su familia se declare en bancarrota.
A medida que la vida se complique por la ambición, los celos y las mentiras malvadas, ¿Maximiliano podrá ayudar a María Dolores a recuperar la esperanza y volver a confiar en los hombres?
