Ignacio Meyer is the President of Univision Networks Group at TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media company. In this role, he oversees programming strategy and operations for the company’s portfolio of leading U.S. properties, including Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and TUDN, as well as Univision’s local television stations and extensive audio platform.
Meyer has been instrumental in transforming TelevisaUnivision into a global powerhouse for Latin music and a critical platform for artists across genres. Under his leadership, the company has deepened partnerships with top labels, talent, and global artists—unifying its music strategy across platforms and borders. He has overseen some of the most iconic moments in Latin music, including Premio Lo Nuestro—the longest-running Latin music awards show in the U.S.—Premios Juventud, and the Latin GRAMMY Awards, cementing the company’s position as a premier stage for celebrating and amplifying Latin talent worldwide.
Over Meyer’s nearly 15-year tenure, Univision has also produced some of the most-watched and critically acclaimed Spanish-language programming in the U.S. He has expanded the company’s engagement with audiences through a dynamic content strategy that advances its mission to inform, entertain, and empower Hispanics. Meyer’s team has delivered an industry-leading slate of entertainment—including fan-favorite telenovelas, reality shows, dramas, and scripted series—that has garnered top industry accolades, including multiple Emmy Awards.
Before being appointed to his current role in September 2022, Meyer served as Executive Vice President of Music and Non-Scripted Entertainment, where he led Univision’s global music and entertainment strategy, forging high-impact partnerships with top entertainment and music industry leaders. He managed strategy and operations for unscripted programming, overseeing the development of flagship entertainment and live event specials, while also leading talent commercialization, licensing, and music and sound design across Univision’s networks and studio.
Previously, Meyer was part of Univision’s Music and Special Events team, where he played a key role in consolidating a bi-national music strategy with Grupo Televisa and redefining Univision’s award shows. He also led the development and operations of Univision Live, the company’s cross-platform content, live events, and non-traditional business unit, where he spearheaded strategic alliances, direct-to-consumer initiatives, and experiential marketing efforts across Univision’s brand portfolio.
Prior to joining Univision, Meyer had an extensive background in media and entertainment, with a proven track record of launching and operating strategic growth initiatives. He previously served as CEO of Wireless Latin Entertainment and was a managing partner at KONEXXION Enterprises, a boutique agency bridging entertainment assets and media companies. Earlier in his career, he was Director of Business Development at the Latin Recording Academy.
Meyer has been recognized on Billboard’s Latin Power Players list in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and was named Executive of the Month by Billboard en Español in 2022. He is based in Miami, Florida, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami.
