Adam Shippee is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Strategy, and Transformation at TelevisaUnivision, reporting directly to the company’s CEO. Shippee is responsible for spearheading the corporation’s business development strategy, which includes his key role in the $4.8 billion TelevisaUnivision merger that brought together two iconic Spanish-language media brands. He leads national cross-functional teams and partners with other senior executives to execute pivotal business opportunities.
Shippee joined the company, previously Univision Communications Inc., nearly a decade ago and has had an upward trajectory, holding several roles with increasing responsibility for the new TelevisaUnivision. His previous roles include Vice President of Finance, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations, and Chief Financial Officer of Univision Networks & Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy. His leadership has been instrumental in driving growth and transformation across multiple business units, and his strategic vision has helped position the company for success.
Prior to TelevisaUnivision, Shippee was an executive at General Electric with over seven years of service in multiple locations, including Shanghai, Dubai, Hong Kong, Atlanta, New York, and others. While at General Electric, Shippee completed the highly coveted five-year GE Green Beret Program. He was selected to join the exclusive group due to his dedication and future aspirations, and he is part of the two percent of participants who complete the intense program. Shippee also completed the acclaimed two-year GE Financial Management Program, where he was able to build exceptional corporate finance acumen and business leadership skills that go beyond the numbers.
Shippee earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Vermont. He has been recognized as a “40 under 40” top young business leader, and he currently resides in Miami, Florida.
