New Research on Hispanic Sports Fans from Univision Deportes

By Carlos Deschapelles, EVP Multimedia and Sports Sales

Oct 8, 2014

Hispanic consumers make up 20% of 18-49 sports viewers today. But, do you really know what they’re watching, how often and what they’re doing to prepare for games and celebrate? Do you know how they’re using technology to supplement their passion for sports? New research coming soon from Univision Deportes and Vital Findings will answer these questions and more. For the first time, the industry will be able to understand the behaviors and mindsets of Hispanic sports fans, highlight the differences between Hispanic and non-Hispanic fans and quantify the passion of sports in Spanish. Hint: Hispanic sports fans are at least 23% more likely to discuss sports using technology, whether it be texting, tweeting, Facebooking, blogging, video chatting or more. Sounds like our Return on Influence story is alive and kicking with fanáticos.

Stay tuned for more on our Superfan Research to come. If you are a brand or agency interested in having the research presented, please reach out @hispanic411 and we’ll get back to you.
