ViX Announces the Premiere of the Documentary LAURA BOZZO on August 28
The production offers exclusive access to friends, family, and critics of the TV host, featuring never-before-seen material about her life and career.
MIAMI, August 19, 2025 — ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today the upcoming premiere of the original documentary LAURA BOZZO, which will debut exclusively on the platform on August 28.
The documentary offers an unprecedented look into the personal and professional life of Laura Bozzo, the controversial television host whose career has shaped Latin American television for over three decades. Through never-before-seen archival footage, exclusive interviews, and intimate access to her inner circle, the production unveils previously unknown aspects of her story.
“This is my chance to tell my story for the first time. I want to tell it myself, in my own voice, with my personal archive,” said Bozzo. “I want everyone to speak those who love me and those who hate me. I have nothing to hide; I never had a filter, and I’m not going to start now.”
The documentary features testimonies from Alejandra de la Fuente (daughter), Cristian Suárez (ex-boyfriend), Philip Butters, David Waisman, Andrea Rodríguez, and Maribel Guardia, among others.
LAURA BOZZO explores her early career in Peru, her rise to fame in Mexico and Miami, as well as her recent resurgence in the media. The documentary also delves into the political scandal that led her to face justice in 2002, when she was sentenced to three years of house arrest—served while living at the TV station from which she broadcast her show. Far from halting her career, that period marked a turning point in solidifying her public persona.
Filmed in Mexico, Peru, Spain, and Miami, the documentary centers Acapulco—Bozzo’s current residence—as the narrative anchor for the present. It includes specially recorded interviews with key figures in her life, both supporters and critics, along with scenes portraying her daily life today.
At 70, Bozzo remains a public figure whose life on and off set continues to spark interest throughout Latin America and Europe.
LAURA BOZZO is a film written and directed by Luis Ara Hermida, produced by Trailer Films in association with Francois 1er Productions. Executive producers include Luis Ara, Kader Djelti, Juan Bettencourt, and Joaquín Valles.

MIAMI, 19 de agosto de 2025 — ViX, el principal servicio de streaming en español del mundo, anunció hoy el próximo estreno del documental original LAURA BOZZO, que llegará en exclusiva a la plataforma el 28 de agosto.
El documental ofrece una mirada sin precedentes a la vida personal y profesional de Laura Bozzo, la controvertida conductora de televisión cuya carrera ha marcado la industria televisiva latinoamericana durante más de tres décadas. A través de material de archivo inédito, entrevistas exclusivas y acceso a su entorno íntimo, la producción revela aspectos desconocidos de su historia.
“Esta es mi oportunidad de contar por primera vez mi historia. La quiero contar yo, con mi propia voz, con mi archivo personal”, dijo Bozzo. “Quiero que hablen todos: los que me quieren y los que me odian. No tengo nada que ocultar; nunca tuve filtro, y menos lo voy a tener ahora”.

LAURA BOZZO explora los inicios de su carrera en Perú, su ascenso a la fama en México y Miami, así como su resurgimiento mediático más reciente. El documental también aborda el escándalo político que la llevó a enfrentar la justicia en 2002, cuando fue sentenciada a tres años de arresto domiciliario, periodo que cumplió viviendo en el canal de televisión desde donde transmitía su programa. Lejos de frenar su carrera, esa etapa marcó un momento de consolidación de su figura pública.
Filmado en México, Perú, España y Miami, el documental sitúa a Acapulco —actual residencia de Bozzo— como eje narrativo del presente. La producción incluye entrevistas especialmente preparadas con personas clave en su vida, tanto allegados como detractores, junto a escenas que retratan su día a día actual.
