ViX Presents PAPÁ SOLTERO: A Comedy About Modern Family Life and the Challenges of Being Both Mom and Dad

MIAMI – JUNE 9, 2025 – ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that all episodes of its new original series PAPÁ SOLTERO — a fresh and heartwarming comedy about a modern family turned upside down by an unexpected loss — will premiere on ViX Premium on June 13.
PAPÁ SOLTERO tells the story of César (played by Mauricio Ochmann), who becomes the sole caretaker of a unique family after the sudden death of his wife Sandra (Ana de la Reguera). His new reality includes his teenage stepdaughter Ana (Romina Poza), his daughter from a previous marriage María (Ana Tena), and the twins he had with Sandra — Miguel (Erick Velarde) and Cesarín (David Aguilar). Now, César must figure out how to be a father to them while navigating and discovering other aspects of his life.
Developed by Onza Américas and directed by Francisco Franco Alba, José Ramón Chávez Delgado, and Alonso Iñiguez, the series offers a humorous, heartfelt, and modern look at parenting, blended families, and everyday emotional challenges. Written by a team of screenwriters led by Charlie “El Huevo” Barrientos and Mauricio Barrientos “El Diablito,” the show combines comedic moments with real-life reflections — showing that while there’s no one way to be a family, there are many ways to love.
Featuring a talented cast that includes Ana Tena, Romina Poza, David Aguilar, Erick Velarde, Norma Angélica, José Luis Cordero “Pocholo,” and Mauricio Barrientos “El Diablito,” PAPÁ SOLTERO is shaping up to be one of the most heartfelt and entertaining releases of the year.
