MIAMI – APRIL 22, 2024 – ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that its new original movie, FAMILIA NACIONAL, will premiere on the service’s premium plan this April 25.
The film features Gilberto Barraza, Silvia Navarro, Jero Medina, Jesús Zavala, Lucía Madariaga, Claudia Ríos, Antonio de la Vega, Sharon Ayon, Aaron Balderi, Aketzaly Verástegui, Iván Amozurrutia, Nicole de Albornoz, Axel Alanis, Roberto Andrade and Harding Jr.
With a mix of drama, comedy and action, FAMILIA NACIONAL tells the story of Don Poli, the patriarch of a family embedded in politics who faces the change of party in his state after a hundred years in power, losing all his privileges. Humiliated and enraged, he threatens his family to disinherit them and leave to undo his life. This forces his children (Kippy, Ramses and Belén) to take extreme measures to secure their future, causing everything that could go wrong to go wrong.
Directed and written by Marcelo Tobar, the film is produced by José Nacif, Marco Polo Constandse, Ramiro Ruiz, Juan Pablo Medina and Juan Pablo Hernández.
