Miami, FL. – April 19, 2024 – Univision announced today that trailblazing reality star and social media sensation Wendy Guevara will be joining Amara La Negra, Migbelis Castellanos, Roberto Hernandéz, and Yayis on Noche de Famosos, leading up to the 9th annual Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs). Wendy Guevara will have a special role in the pre-show, bringing her unique personality, humor, and flair to the event. The annual awards show will kick off with the pre-show on Thursday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m. CT, airing live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and ViX.
Wendy Guevara, a beacon of light for the LGBTQ+ community, made history in 2023 by becoming the first trans woman to win a reality show (“La Casa de Los Famosos Mexico”) on Mexican television. Her multifaceted career spans acting, modeling, and singing, both solo and with her group, “Las Perdidas.” This time, she will participate in Univision’s “Noche de Famosos,” opening the pre-show and providing viewers with a glimpse of what’s to come at the Latin AMAs. Moreover, she will offer insightful commentary on the most captivating moments captured by POV cameras placed throughout the venue, drawing from her firsthand experience in reality shows.
This new pre-show format will provide an unfiltered look at all the action, taking viewers behind the scenes with exclusive interviews and real-time interactions with music’s biggest stars. Additionally, the pre-show content will be available across TelevisaUnivision‘s multiple platforms, granting audiences unprecedented access to the entire night’s festivities through comprehensive multi-platform coverage.
For an even deeper dive into the Latin AMAs experience, Univision will supercharge the viewer experience with over 30 hours of livestreams from the venue during show week on YouTube. This includes a Multiview feed from April 22-25 (Monday-Thursday) and a daily recap show at 7:00 PM ET from April 22-24 (Monday-Wednesday), hosted by Jessica Rodriguez, presenter of “Despierta América,” alongside influential content creators Candy Lover and El Mindo.

Wendy Guevara se unirá a un elenco estelar que incluye a Amara La Negra, Migbelis Castellanos, Roberto Hernández y Yayis para dar inicio a la noche con estilo y entretenimiento el jueves 25 de abril a las 7:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. CT por Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión y ViX.
