ViX Premieres “Yo no creo en los hombres,” a Story of Love, Betrayal and Second Chances
The new adaptation of Caridad Bravo Adams’ story follows a woman who must fight to prove her innocence and discover whether it is possible to trust again.
MIAMI, OCTOBER 29, 2026 – ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, premieres “Yo no creo en los hombres” on October 30. This new adaptation of Caridad Bravo Adams’ story brings the classic melodrama into a contemporary setting, where love, trust, friendship and the strength to stand up for one’s truth intersect in the life of a woman who must learn to start over.
Starring Valentina Buzzurro, José Pablo Minor and Adolfo de la Fuente, the series also features Paulina Matos, Lourdes Munguía, Marisol del Olmo, Cecilia Gabriela, Alejandra Zaid and Ruy Senderos, alongside a talented ensemble cast that brings to life the characters who will accompany Julieta throughout her journey.
Julieta has always been protected by her mother, Lucía, who, after enduring an abusive relationship, has done everything possible to keep her daughter away from situations that could hurt her. But everything changes when Julieta meets Arturo, a charismatic and seductive man with whom she falls in love, never imagining that their relationship will change her life forever.
Under pressure from his mother, Leonor, Arturo decides to marry Sofía, a successful businesswoman, to secure his family’s future. However, he continues to seek out Julieta, and following an encounter that turns violent, she is accused of murder and sent to prison.
From that moment on, Julieta must fight to prove her innocence and regain her freedom. Along the way, she will find support from her mother, her best friend and Emiliano (Adolfo de la Fuente), who enters her life when she least expects it and makes her question whether she has truly stopped believing in love.
As she confronts her own fears and fights to regain control of her life, Julieta will begin a transformation that leads her to leave behind the young woman who always needed protection and become someone capable of standing up for herself, making her own decisions and choosing whom to trust again.
Combining love, secrets, family conflicts and second chances, the series also explores themes such as female empowerment, female solidarity, gender-based violence, everyday forms of sexism and new masculinities.
“Yo no creo en los hombres” is an adaptation of the work of Caridad Bravo Adams, with scripts by Janely E. Lee and María Cervantes Balmori, and literary editing by Ana Granados. This new version revisits the original characters and conflicts, bringing them closer to contemporary audiences.

MIAMI, 29 DE OCTUBRE DE 2026 – ViX, el servicio de streaming en español líder en el mundo, estrena este 30 de ocubre “Yo no creo en los hombres”, una nueva adaptación de la historia de Caridad Bravo Adams que lleva este clásico del melodrama a una mirada actual, donde el amor, la confianza, la amistad y la fuerza para defender la propia verdad se cruzan en la vida de una mujer que tendrá que empezar de nuevo.
Protagonizada por Valentina Buzzurro, José Pablo Minor y Adolfo de la Fuente, la serie cuenta además con las actuaciones de Paulina Matos, Lourdes Munguía, Marisol del Olmo, Cecilia Gabriela, Alejandra Zaid, Ruy Senderos y un gran elenco que da vida a los personajes que acompañarán a Julieta a lo largo de esta historia.
Julieta siempre ha vivido protegida por su madre, Lucía, quien, después de sufrir una relación marcada por el maltrato, ha hecho todo lo posible por mantener a su hija lejos de cualquier situación que pueda lastimarla. Pero todo cambia cuando Julieta conoce a Arturo, un hombre carismático y seductor del que se enamora sin imaginar que esa relación cambiará su vida.
Presionado por su madre, Leonor, Arturo decide casarse con Sofía, una exitosa empresaria, para asegurar el futuro de su familia. Sin embargo, continúa buscando a Julieta y, tras un encuentro que termina en violencia, ella es acusada de asesinato y encarcelada.
A partir de ese momento, Julieta tendrá que luchar por demostrar su inocencia y recuperar su libertad. En el camino contará con el apoyo de su madre, su mejor amiga y Emiliano (Adolfo de la Fuente), quien llegará a su vida cuando menos lo espera y la hará cuestionarse si realmente ha dejado de creer en el amor.
