Mike Angus

EVP, Global Distribution and Digital Media, TelevisaUnivision, Inc.

Mike Angus is the Executive Vice President of Global Distribution and Digital Media for TelevisaUnivision, after having served as EVP of U.S. Distribution since 2022. In his role, Angus leads worldwide distribution of the company’s broadcast and cable networks, the new ViX global streaming platform, and other related content.

Before joining TelevisaUnivision, Angus served as Senior Vice President of Distribution and Network Relations at the Sinclair Broadcast Group, where he oversaw distribution of Bally Sports Regional (formerly Fox), Sinclair’s television stations and Tennis Channel. Prior to his time at Sinclair, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital for Time Warner Cable, where he led the product and business teams responsible for major aspects of TWC’s video division. His achievements included developing the digital strategy, creating and improving customer products, and acquiring and expanding TWC’s new media distribution rights through partnerships with Microsoft, Samsung, Roku and others, in the process. Under Angus’ oversight, Time Warner earned “Best Distributor App” among all pay TV providers in 2013 by Fierce Cable.

Before Time Warner, Angus was the General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer and Executive Vice President of Fox Interactive Media. He played a pivotal role in launching News Corp.’s digital business through acquisitions, including MySpace, Rotten Tomatoes and IGN Entertainment, as well as running existing digital platforms such as FOX.com, AmericanIdol.com and FOXSports.com. His team led the global expansion of Fox Interactive Media, including Europe, Asia and Latin America. Angus also played a significant role in enacting online safety legislation and best practices, and restructured a $900 million deal with Google. He was instrumental in forming the MySpace Music venture with the major music labels.

Additionally, Angus served as Senior Vice President at FOX Cable Networks, where he led the development and strategic relationships with distribution partners for the cable channel portfolio, the formation of FOXSports.com’s relationship with MSN.com, the purchase and sale of cable networks, and the creation of various regional sports networks and joint ventures.

The one-time corporate lawyer, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver and his law degree from Harvard Law School. He also served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps.
