MIAMI – July 7, 2023 – ViX, the world’s leading Spanish-language streaming service, announced today that all ten episodes of the new original dramedy LOS ARTISTAS: PRIMEROS TRAZOS (The Artists: First Strokes) are now available exclusively within the service’s Premium plan.
Starring Maxi Iglesias (“Volver a Caer” [Falling Again], “Valeria,” “Dueños del paraíso” [Owners of Paradise], “Velvet,” “Física o química” [Physics or Chemistry]) and Ximena Romo (“María Félix: la doña,” “Señorita 89” [Miss 89], “El color de la pasión” [The Color of Passion]), the original series is the first project created as a series by bestselling author María Dueñas.
LOS ARTISTAS: PRIMEROS TRAZOS is a story of fraud with deception, forgery and suspense, set in the exclusive multimillion-dollar world of art sales. Filmed in Spain and the United States, the fiction tells the story of Cata (Ximena Romo), a young Mexican art expert, who is forced by bitter twists of fate to work in a mediocre restaurant in Madrid, and Yago (Maxi Iglesias), a young Spanish antiques dealer, who is forced by bad luck to close his business and look for new opportunities. Unexpectedly, they get to know each other, and the chemistry between them, together with the need to find a way out of their difficult circumstances, turns them into a seductive couple looking for buyers of magnificent works of art. The problem is that such works are fakes. Still, their talent, boldness and audacity will achieve their purposes in an engaging, addictive series, full of humanity, unexpected twists, irony and beauty.
Francesc Garrido (“Waiting for May,” “El jaguar”) plays the role of the antagonist in the series produced by 360 Powwow and Isla Audiovisual, under the direction of Joaquín Llamas, Oriol Ferrer and Manuel Sanabriaand produced by Daniel Gutman and Víctor García.

LOS ARTISTAS: PRIMEROS TRAZOS es una historia de fraudes con engaños, falsificaciones y suspenso, ambientada en el exclusivo mundo multimillonario de la venta de obras de arte. Grabada en España y Estados Unidos, la ficción cuenta la historia de Cata (Ximena Romo), una joven mexicana experta en arte, a la que los giros amargos del destino llevan a trabajar en un mediocre restaurante en Madrid, y de Yago (Maxi Iglesias), un joven anticuario español, a quien la mala suerte obliga a cerrar su negocio y buscar nuevas oportunidades. De forma inesperada, llegan a conocerse, y la química entre ellos, junto a la necesidad de encontrar una salida para sus duras circunstancias, los convierte en una seductora pareja en busca de compradores de magníficas obras de arte.
