Global bachata idol Prince Royce to receive special Pioneer Award

MIAMI, FL. – MARCH 28, 2023 – The first round of artists confirmed to perform at the 8th edition of the LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (LATIN AMAs) was announced today. Featuring the hottest artists and artists on the rise, the initial lineup gives fans a taste of what they can expect from one of the biggest nights in music. Hosted by Galilea Montijo, Julian Gil, and Natti Natasha, the annual award show will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 20 at 7p/6c on Univision, UniMás, and Galavisión.
Among the stars performing is Prince Royce, who will be recognized with a special Pioneer Award for his brilliant musical career and trajectory. The global bachata idol will also deliver a live TV premiere of one of his soon-to-be-released tracks. While the ultra-talented Bad Gyal and Eden Muñoz both make their debut as performers at the LATIN AMAs.
This year’s performers include:
- Anuel AA: Considered one of the pioneers of Latin trap, the Puerto Rican rapper and singer songwriter will take the stage to perform his latest hit “Mas Rica Que Ayer.” The six-time LATIN AMAs winner is nominated for Best Artist – Urban this year.
- Bad Gyal: For the first time performing at the LATIN AMAs, the popular Catalan star will present her latest single, “Chulo,” a powerful song where the artist explores her sexuality from her perspective as a woman.
- Eden Muñoz: The award-winning Mexican producer and singer-songwriter will take the LATIN AMAs stage for the first time to perform his hit song “Chale.” Muñoz is one of the most prolific singer-songwriters of the regional Mexican genre today, and is nominated in 4 categories including New Artist Of The Year.
- Guaynaa & Lele Pons: The newlyweds will surprise audiences with a very special medley including “Abajito” from their upcoming album “Capitulations.”
- Myke Towers: The renowned Puerto Rican artist will deliver an unforgettable performance of “Mi Droga,” from his recent album “La Vida es Una.” Towers won Favorite Song at the LATIN AMAs last year for “Pareja del Año” with Sebastián Yatra.
- Prince Royce: The nine-time LATIN AMAs winner has 3 nods this year and will pump up the audience with an incredible performance and TV debut of his upcoming release. He will also deliver a medley of his worldwide hits alongside other great artists.

Miami, FL. – 28 de marzo de 2023 – Hoy se anunció la primera ronda de artistas confirmados a presentarse en la 8ª edición de los LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (LATIN AMAs). Con las mejores estrellas y artistas emergentes, el primer lineup les da a los fans una muestra de lo que pueden esperar de una de las noches más importantes de la música. Presentada por Galilea Montijo, Julián Gil y Natti Natasha, la entrega anual de premios se transmitirá en vivo desde el MGM Grand Garden Arena en Las Vegas el 20 de abril a las 7p/6c por Univision, UniMás y Galavisión.
Entre las estrellas que se presentarán se encuentra Prince Royce, quien será reconocido con el galardón especial Pioneer Award por su brillante carrera y trayectoria musical. El ídolo global de la bachata también ofrecerá un estreno televisivo de una de sus canciones que pronto lanzará. Por su parte, los ultra talentosos Bad Gyal y Eden Muñoz se presentarán en el escenario de los LATIN AMAs por primera vez.
Los artistas de este año incluyen a:
- Anuel AA: Considerado uno de los pioneros del trap latino, el rapero y cantautor puertorriqueño subirá al escenario para interpretar su último éxito, “Más rica que ayer”. El seis veces ganador de los LATIN AMAs está nominado a Mejor Artista – Urbano este año.
- Bad Gyal: En su primera presentación en los LATIN AMAs, la popular estrella catalana presentará su último sencillo, “Chulo”, una poderosa canción donde la artista explora su sexualidad desde su perspectiva como mujer.
- Eden Muñoz: El galardonado productor y cantautor mexicano subirá al escenario de los LATIN AMAs por primera vez para interpretar su exitosa canción “Chale”. Muñoz es uno de los cantautores más prolíficos del género regional mexicano en la actualidad, y está nominado en 4 categorías, incluyendo Nuevo Artista Del Año.
- Guaynaa y Lele Pons: La pareja de recién casados se unirán para sorprender a la audiencia con una presentación muy especial incluyendo su más reciente colaboración “Abajito” de su próximo álbum “Capitulations”.
- Myke Towers: El reconocido artista puertorriqueño brindará una interpretación inolvidable de “Mi Droga”, de su reciente album “La Vida es Una”. Towers ganó Canción Favorita en los LATIN AMAs el año pasado por su canción “Pareja del Año” con Sebastián Yatra.
- Prince Royce: El nueve veces ganador de los LATIN AMAs tiene 3 nominaciones este año y deleitará a los fans con una presentación increíble con un debut televisivo de su tema que está próximo a estrenar y con su repertorio musical acompañado de grandes artistas que interpretaran sus hits mundiales.
