MIAMI – AUGUST 1 – TelevisaUnivision, the leading Spanish-language media and content company, announced today that Jessica Delgado, meteorologist and journalist, will Univision Noticias programming.
Beginning on Monday, August 1, Delgado will report daily weather updates on morning programming such as Despierta America and ViX’s La Voz de la Mañana. Additionally, she will report breaking weather updates on all news programming within Univision Noticias.
Delgado brings over a decade of experience as a journalist, with at least nine years as a meteorologist. She has covered severe weather and environmental events such as tornadoes, blizzards, extreme flooding, dust storms, and hurricanes. Prior to joining Univision Noticias, Delgado worked as a meteorologist in Telemundo Chicago.
Delgado has her master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Mississippi State University and her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations from the University of Miami.
Univision Noticias remains committed to keeping Hispanic communities across the U.S. informed, especially regarding critical weather updates.
Throughout recent weeks, Despierta América has continued to reach more Hispanic audiences than other multiple network morning shows combined.
