Angus Adds to Company’s Expanding World-Class Global Distribution Team
MIAMI – MAY 10, 2022 – TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company, today announced the appointment of Mike Angus as Executive Vice President, U.S. Distribution, as part of the global distribution team. Reporting directly to Michael Schwimmer, President, Global Platform Strategy and Revenue, Angus will lead distribution of the Company’s broadcast and cable networks, the new ViX global streaming platform and other related content, to TelevisaUnivision’s network distribution partners.

Angus joins TelevisaUnivision from Sinclair Broadcast Group, where he served as Senior Vice President, Distribution and Network Relations, overseeing distribution of the Bally Sports (formerly Fox) regional sports networks as well as Sinclair’s television stations and Tennis Channel. Prior to his time at Sinclair, Angus was Senior Vice President, Content Acquisition and General Manager of Digital at Time Warner Cable, where he led negotiations and managed relationships with numerous networks across linear and new media content categories. A media industry veteran, Angus has also held executive roles at News Digital Media, Fox Interactive Media, and FOX Cable Networks.

Angus se une a TelevisaUnivision desde el Sinclair Broadcast Group, donde se desempeñó como vicepresidente senior de distribución y relaciones de red, supervisando la distribución de las redes deportivas regionales Bally Sports (anteriormente Fox), así como las estaciones de televisión de Sinclair y el Tennis Channel. Antes de trabajar en Sinclair, Mike fue vicepresidente senior de adquisición de contenido y gerente general de contenido digital en Time Warner Cable, donde lideró negociaciones y gestionó relaciones con numerosas redes en medios lineales y categorías de contenido de nuevos medios. Angus es un veterano de la industria de los medios que también ha ocupado cargos ejecutivos en News Digital Media, Fox Interactive Media y FOX Cable Networks.
