Jorge Eduardo Murguia Orozco is the Vice President of Production, TelevisaUnivision Mexico. The accomplished television executive is the longest standing executive in the company and has been with Televisa since 1976, when it was Grupo Televisa. In his role as VP of Production, Murguia Orozco oversees all productions of TelevisaUnivision properties in Mexico, including telenovelas, sports, news, reality shows, game shows, entertainment and variety shows, and more.

Starting in Human Resources, Murguia Orozco worked his way up through the ranks, as Director of Human Resources, Vice President of Administration and later Vice President of Production at Televisa San Angel, the oldest film and television production studio in Mexico.

His extensive experience in a variety of areas and skills in managing people have earned him the respect and admiration of other C-suite executives, managers, and staff. A loyal and trusted leader, in 2018, he became the advisor to the Co-Chairmen of Grupo Televisa, Bernardo Gomez and Alfonso de Angoitia after a brief hiatus from the company, before taking over as Vice President of Production and Content at Grupo Televisa in 2019.

The veteran administrator, who has become an institution within the company and Mexico’s TV and film production industries, has been involved in some of the most notable telenovelas in Televisa’s history, such as Maria la del barrio, starring Thalía, Los ricos también lloran, with Veronica Castro, Destilando amor, La usurpadora, Corazón Salvaje, Esmeralda, Amigas y rivales, and many more. He has also overseen the productions of major sporting events like the FIFA World Cup, Copa de Oro de la CONCACAF, Liga MX, and other regional and national tournaments.

In recognition of his expertise, in 2022, he was appointed as Vice President of Technical Operations and Production Services as part of TelevisaUnivision.
