The Worldwide Hit Series Will Air Monday to Friday at 10 p.m. ET/PT
MIAMI – JANUARY 5, 2022 – The critically acclaimed Turkish telenovela “Madre” will make its awaited debut on Univision next Tuesday, January 11. The international hit, winner of “Most Exported Series of the Year 2018” in Turkey, will air Monday to Friday in the 10 p.m. timeslot.
“Madre” is a story of resilience and optimism that shows that even in the darkest time there’s always room for hope. Driven by a female led cast, “Madre” is not a traditional love story, and it focuses in a different type of love as it explores the different variations of motherhood.
The series begins with Zeynep Güneş (Cansu Dere), a young woman with a tragic past who from the get-go takes an interest in the positive, hardworking, and cheerful Melek Akçay (Beren Gökyıldız), one of her students. Soon, Zeynep will realize that the innocent child conceals a deep wound, she is a victim of physical and emotional abuse at home. As society turns its back on the kid, the teacher will decide to take action and run away with her student from their small Turkish town to Istanbul, embarking on a journey that will make Zeynep reckon with her past.

La exitosa serie internacional se trasmitirá de lunes a viernes a las 10 p.m. Este/Pacífico
MIAMI – 5 DE ENERO DE 2022 – La aclamada telenovela turca “Madre” hará su esperado debut en Univision el próximo martes, 11 de enero. El éxito internacional, ganador de “Serie más exportada del año 2018” en Turquía, se trasmitirá en el horario de lunes a viernes a las 10 p.m.
“Madre” es una historia de resiliencia y optimismo que muestra que incluso en los momentos más funestos, siempre hay esperanza. Con un elenco encabezado por mujeres, “Madre” no es una historia tradicional de amor; y se centra en un tipo diferente de cariño que explora diversos tipos de maternidad.
La serie empieza con Zeynep Güneş (Cansu Dere), una joven con un pasado trágico que desde el comienzo se interesa en Melek Akçay (Beren Gökyıldız), una de sus estudiantes, que es positiva, esforzada y alegre. Pronto Zeynep se da cuenta de que la inocente niña esconde una herida profunda pues es víctima de abuso físico y emocional en casa. Cuando la sociedad le da la espalda a la niña, la maestra decide tomar medidas al respecto y huir con su alumna de su aldea turca a Estambul, emprendiendo un viaje que hará a Zeynep enfrentar su pasado.
