Live Soccer Coverage Drives Univision Ahead of ABC, CBS and FOX on Saturday Night Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 8, 2021 to March 14, 2021
- Sunday night’s two-hour premiere of “Mira Quién Baila Univision All Stars” reached 4.4 million Total Viewers 2+ and delivered 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 597,000 Adults 18-49 and 260,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision ahead of NBC, FOX and The CW during the 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. time slot with Adults 18-49 Adults 18-34. The reality series consistently increased its audience throughout its two-hour airing with double-digit audience growth in the last half-hour compared to the first half-hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+39%), Adults 18-49 (+67%) and Adults 18-34 (+47%). “Mira Quién Baila Univision All Stars” made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. among Total Viewers 2+ (+90% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+50% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+84% adv.). “Mira Quién Baila Univision All Stars” ranked as the highest-rated primetime reality series premiere on Spanish-language television in the current 2020/2021 season among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Airing at 10:00 p.m. “Sal y Pimienta” delivered its highest-rated telecast in 2021 among Total Viewers 2+ (1.4 million), Adults 18-49 (511,000) and Adults 18-34 (206,000).
- On Saturday night, Univision finished ahead of ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX for the entire night among Adults 18-34 and outperformed ABC, CBS and FOX among Adults 18-49 with live coverage of Liga MX. Univision also outperformed CBS, NBC and FOX for the fourth consecutive Saturday night among Adults 18-34. The soccer matchups of Tigres UANL vs. Mazatlan and Cruz Azul vs. Monterrey delivered an average audience of 909,000 Total Viewers 2+, 493,000 Adults 18-49 and 203,000 Adults 18-34.
- Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime for the 25th consecutive week in the current 2020/2021 season with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+16% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+19% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+32% adv.).
- For the entire week, Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network during primetime, out-delivering The CW with 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 491,000 Adults 18-49 and 188,000 Adults 18-34.
- Univision delivered week-to-week audience gains in primetime among Total Viewers 2+ (+13%), Adults 18-49 (+10%) and Adults 18-34 (+8%).
- Univision outperformed one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-34 and on six out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.
- Airing weeknights at 8 p.m., “Vencer el Desamor” delivered 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 647,000 Adults 18-49 and 267,000 Adults 18-34 and drove Univision ahead of The CW and Telemundo with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The series also delivered week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%), Adults 18-49 (+10%) and Adults 18-34 (+12%).
- Airing weeknights at 9 p.m. Univision’s “Te Acuerdas de Mí” delivered 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 478,000 Adults 18-49 and 167,000 Adults 18-34, positioning Univision ahead of The CW with Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. “Te Acuerdas de Mí” outperformed Telemundo’s “La Suerte de Loli” by double-digit margins head-to-head among Total Viewers 2+ (+39% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+32% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+26% adv.).
- Airing weeknights at 10 p.m. Univision’s “La Hija del Embajador” averaged 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 449,000 Adults 18-49 and 171,000 Adults 18-34 and positioned Univision ahead of ABC and CBS in the weeknight 10 p.m. hour with Adults 18-34. “La Hija del Embajador” also delivered week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+8%) and Adults 18-34 (+22%) and outperformed Telemundo’s “Buscando a Frida” in the 10 p.m. hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+26% adv.) and Adults 18-49 (+14% adv.).
- On Thursday night, the special news coverage of President Joe Biden’s speech “Univision Noticias Presenta: Discurso del presidente a un año de la pandemia” delivered 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 140,000 Adults 18-34, 462,000 Adults 18-49-and 548,000 Adults 25-54. It out-delivered Telemundo’s special news coverage of “Noticias Edición Especial: Biden addresses nation on one-year anniversary of Covid-19 shutdowns” by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+33% adv.), Adults 18-34 (+13% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+36% adv.), and Adults 25-54 (+39% adv.).
