Univision’s “Domingos en Familia” is Set to Premiere the International Hit Music Competition “Tu Cara Me Suena” (Your Face Sounds Familiar)

MIAMI – SEPTEMBER 4, 2020 – Univision’s “Domingos en Familia” (Family Sundays) is set to premiere for the first time in Spanish-language television in the U.S., the international hit music competition “Tu Cara Me Suena”(Your Face Sounds Familiar). Starting on Sunday, October 4 at 8 p.m. ET, music, one of the biggest passion points for Hispanics, will bring families together to experience a never-before-seen singing competition where eight A-list celebrities will transform themselves into music icons each week. Undergoing extreme makeovers in order to sing live, the contestants will impersonate larger than life performers.
“Tu Cara Me Suena” will be hosted by the charismatic Rafael Araneda, host of UniMás hit reality show “Enamorándonos” (Love is in the Air), and the beloved and popular actress Ana Brenda Contreras, hosting for the first time a reality show in the U.S. The contestants will be guided by vocal coaches, choreographers, staging, and acting experts to ensure the highest-level performance week over week. The awarded music composer and lead singer of the popular group Reik, Jesús ‘Chuy’ Navarro, has joined the renowned panel of judges that includes singer, host and actress Charytín; singer, composer and Latin GRAMMY® winner Kany García; and actress, singer, comedian, and TV and radio personality Angélica Vale.
The talented actress, singer and TV personality Amara La Negra is confirmed as backstage host bringing viewers the latest updates from behind the scenes as well as the audience comments on social media.
The eight celebrity contestants who will transform every Sunday into musical idols, and the charities they will represent, will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
“Tu Cara Me Suena” is a co-production of Univision and Endemol Shine Boomdog.

MIAMI –4 DE SEPTIEMBRE DE 2020– “Domingos en Familia” de Univision está listo para estrenar por primera vez en la televisión en español en Estados Unidos la exitosa competencia internacional “Tu cara me suena”. A partir del domingo, 4 de octubre a las 8 p.m. Este, la música, una de las grandes pasiones de los hispanos, hará que las familias se congreguen para una competencia de canto nunca antes vista, en la que ocho celebridades de primer nivel se transformarán en ídolos de la música cada semana. Los concursantes cambiarán su apariencia completamente para cantar en vivo, convirtiéndose en grandes leyendas.
“Tu cara me suena” estará a cargo del carismático Rafael Araneda, presentador del popular reality de UniMás “Enamorándonos”, y la popular actriz Ana Brenda Contreras, quien conducirá un reality por primera vez en Estados Unidos. Guiarán a los concursantes entrenadores de voz, coreógrafos y expertos en actuación para asegurar el más alto nivel de interpretación semana tras semana. Jesús ‘Chuy’ Navarro, el galardonado compositor de música y cantante principal del popular grupo Reik, se ha sumado al renombrado jurado del show, que incluye a la cantante, conductora y actriz Charytín; la cantante, compositora y ganadora del Latin GRAMMY® Kany García; y la actriz, cantante, comediante y personalidad de radio y televisión Angélica Vale.
La talentosa actriz, cantante y personalidad de televisión Amara La Negra está confirmada como conductora backstage y ofrecerá a los televidentes la última información, además de comentarios del público en redes sociales.
Se anunciarán en semanas próximas a las ocho celebridades que se transformarán en ídolos musicales todos los domingos y las obras benéficas que representarán.
