 Univision’s “Sábado Futbolero” Scores Double-Digit Victory Over CBS for Third Consecutive Saturday Night with Young Adult 18-34 Viewers

Univision Outperforms One or More of the English-Language Broadcast Networks – ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX – on Five Out of Seven Nights Among Adults 18-34, Finishes as Top Five Broadcast Network for Tenth Consecutive Week with Adults 18-49

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of March 4, 2019 to March 10, 2019

  • For the 10th consecutive week, Univision finished as the fifth most-watched broadcast network, ahead of The CW in primetime with 540,000 Adults 18-49. Last week also marked the 24th consecutive week since the start of the current 2018/2019 season that Univision has outperformed The CW during primetime among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
  • Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.
  • Univision ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime for the 19th consecutive week with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+14% adv.) as well as for the 10th consecutive week among Adults 18-49 (+9% adv.).
  • From Monday through Friday, Univision delivered week-over-week audience growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+2% to 607,000) and Adults 18-34 (+9% to 243,000), positioning it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during weeknight primetime and outperforming Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+25% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+15% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+7% adv.).
  • At 8 p.m., “Jesus” increased it audience from the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+5% to 1.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+3% to 559,000) and Adults 18-34 (+13% to 233,000) while also drove Univision to a first-place finish on Spanish-language television with double-digit audience advantages of +19% over Telemundo among all Viewers 2+.
  • At 9 p.m., “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” delivered 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 587,000 Adults 18-49 and 236,000 Adults 18-34. The dramedy also out-delivered Telemundo’s “Betty En NY” among Adults 18-49 (+3% adv.) and Total Viewers 2+ (+11% adv.).
  • At 10 p.m., “Amar A Muerte” averaged its highest-rated weekly performance with 676,000 Adults 18-49 and positioned Univision as the No. 2 broadcast network in the hour, ahead of CBS, NBC and Telemundo for the entire week among Adults 18-34. The supernatural series also attracted more Total Viewers 2+ (+52% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+45% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+40% adv.) than Telemundo’s special first season airing of “La Reina del Sur.”
  • Univision’s weeknight primetime series, “Jesus,” (233,000), “Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia” (236,000) and “Amar A Muerte” (261,000) also drew in more young Adult 18-34 viewers than first-run episodes of ABC’s “Speechless;” CBS’ “God Befriended Me,” “Magnum P.I.” and “Ransom;” NBC’s “Blacklist,” “Blindspot” and “Will & Grace;” FOX’s “Gotham,” “Proven Innocent” and “The Orville;” as well as The CW’s “All American,” “Arrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Charmed,” “Legacies,” “Riverdale,” “Roswell New Mexico,” “Supergirl” and “Supernatural.”
  • With its live coverage of “Sábado Futbolero,” Univision outperformed CBS for the 3rd consecutive Saturday night with double-digit audience advantages of +32% among Adults 18-34. Preceded by America vs. Puebla which drew in 741,000 Total Viewers 2+, 350,000 Adults 18-49 and 141,000 Adults 18-34, Queretaro vs. Guadalajara (Chivas) retained and increased this overall lead-in audience by +25% with 928,000 Total Viewers 2+ and averaged more Adult 18-49 (451,000) and Adult 18-34 (166,000) viewers than FOX’s live coverage of “PBC Fight Night.”
  • Sunday night’s two-hour finale of the U.S. edition of “Me Caigo De Risa” attracted 815,000 Total Viewers 2+, 380,000 Adults 18-49 and 144,000 Adults 18-34 on the Univision network. The sketch comedy series out-delivered The CW’s entire original primetime line-up consisting of “Supergirl” (+36% adv.) and “Charmed” (+73%) by double-digit margins among Adults 18-34 for the second consecutive Sunday.
