Entertainment Affair: Univision Premieres Music-Themed Teen Drama “LIKE”

Oct 14, 2018

The Univision Network announces the premiere of “LIKE,” an original story created by renowned Televisa producer Pedro Damian that tackles the big issues that high school students face in today’s social media world. A series filled with music and teenage drama for parents and their kids to watch together, “LIKE” premieres Sunday, October 14 at 7 p.m. ET/PT/ 6 p.m. CT, and continues in its regular time slot Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. ET/PT, 6 p.m. CT.

The story follows the lives of a group of high school students with diverse personalities and different socio-cultural backgrounds who will fight the norms imposed by the adults around them—parents, teachers and tutors of LIKE (Life Institute of Knowledge and Evolution), a fictional prestigious educational institution. The whole world of this apathetic group of teenagers turns upside down with the arrival of “Gabo,” an atypical drama teacher played by Cristian Chaves, who was also a former student at LIKE. His unique approach to learning shocks teachers, students and parents, but ultimately changes the lives of his pupils. Together, they learn that with love, friendship and music they can transform their gray reality into a bright one of hope.

Driven by music, “LIKE” will span digital and social media platforms making it a potential launchpad for a new teen musical sensation.

The multiplatform drama was filmed in Mexico, Israel, Japan and Brazil and features a multicultural, multinational cast with actors from various nationalities including Colombian, Cuban, a Brazilian actor (Flávio Nogueira), and a popular Japanese singer (Anna Iriyama). “LIKE” will also have a special guest appearance by the beloved telenovela actress and former member of the popular Latin pop group RBD Maite Perroni.
