WEEKLY UPDATE ON “MIRA QUIÉN BAILA,” UNIVISION’S HIT DANCE COMPETITION
Episode 4: Air date, Sunday, October 8, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT) on Univision Network
WHAT’S NEW:
- The show will open with a big dance number with all 10 contestants participating together for the last time.
- One of the stars says goodbye to the competition. Will it be Chikybombom or Marlene Favela? They have both been fighting it out on the dance floor for the charities they represent: Chikybombom is representing St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Marlene Favela, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
- Among the anticipated surprises on the dance floor is Marlene Favela dancing to the musical theme from “Gata Salvaje” (Wild Cat), a hit telenovela in which she starred. The song will be performed by Pablo Montero. Also, MQB will get a visit from Norteño musical group Intocables, who will sing “Te Perdono.”
- During the initial round, contestants will dance these musical styles:
- Chikybombom: Swing
- Marlene Favela: Freestyle
- Ana Patricia Gámez: Jive
- Danell Leyva: Quick step
- Pablo Montero: Tango
- Alejandro Nones: Samba
- Franco Noriega: Modern contemporary
- Ektor Rivera: Viennese waltz
- Dayanara Torres: Salsa
- Victoria ‘La Mala’: Adagio
- Hosts Chiquinquirá Delgado and Javier Poza will continue to present human interest stories about the stars. Pablo Montero will share his personal story of addiction, talk about his losses, family, and what motivated him to keep going. Montero supports the nonprofit National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse.
- Renowned Hispanic actress and Broadway star Bianca Marroquín comes to MQB as a special guest judge, alongside Poty Castillo and Johnny Lozada. In previous seasons, Marroquín was part of the competition’s panel of judges.
- Each contestant will dance solo this week. The judges will select the three weakest dancers, who will return to the dance floor for another round. Then judges will then choose the best one of those three. The TV audience will decide with their votes which of the remaining two will advance to the next round, and the decision will be announced the following week.

ACTUALIZACIÓN SEMANAL SOBRE “MIRA QUIÉN BAILA”, LA POPULAR COMPETENCIA DE BAILE DE UNIVISION
Cuarta gala: Fecha de trasmisión, domingo, 8 de octubre, a las 8 p.m. Este/Pacífico (7 p.m. Centro) por la Cadena Univision
NOVEDADES:
- La gala comenzará con un gran número musical donde 10 concursantes participarán juntos por última vez.
- Una de las estrellas le dice adiós a la competencia. ¿Será Chikybombom o Marlene Favela? Ambas han estado luchando en la pista de baile por las entidades benéficas que representan: Chikybombom representa a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital y Marlene Favela a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
- Entre las sorpresas que se esperan en la pista de baile estará la de Marlene Favela, que bailará el tema musical “Gata Salvaje”, de la popular telenovela que protagonizó. El tema será interpretado por Pablo Montero. Además MQB recibirá la visita de la banda norteña Intocables, quienes cantarán “Te Perdono”.
- Durante la ronda inicial, los concursantes bailarán los siguientes estilos musicales:
- Chikybombom: Swing
- Marlene Favela: Estilo libre (Freestyle)
- Ana Patricia Gámez: Rock n’ roll (Jive)
- Danell Leyva: Paso doble (Quick step)

- Ektor Rivera: Vals vienés
- Dayanara Torres: Salsa
- Victoria ‘La Mala’: Adagio
- Los presentadores Chiquinquirá Delgado y Javier Poza continuarán ofreciendo historias muy humanas sobre las estrellas. Pablo Montero compartirá su historia personal sobre su adicción, hablará sobre sus pérdidas, su familia y lo que lo le ha motivado a continuar. Montero apoya a la entidad benéfica El Centro Nacional de Adicción y Abuso de Sustancias.
- Bianca Marroquín, reconocida actriz y estrella de Broadway, llega a MQB como jueza especialmente invitada, del lado de Poty Castillo y Johnny Lozada. Marroquín fue parte del jurado de la competencia en temporadas anteriores.
- Cada concursante bailará solo esta semana. Los jueces seleccionarán a los tres bailarines más flojos, quienes regresarán a la pista de baile para una segunda ronda. Los jueces luego escogerán al mejor de los tres. La audiencia de televisión decidirá con sus votos cuál de los dos restantes pasará a la próxima ronda, y la decisión se anunciará la semana siguiente.
