EPIC MONDAY NIGHT OF LOVE, ADVENTURE AND RIVALRIES POSITION UNIVISION AS THE NO. 1 SPANISH-LANGUAGE NETWORK AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS 2+ WITH “JOSÉ DE EGIPTO” FINALE AND “LA TIERRA PROMETIDA” PREMIERE

Univision Out-Delivers CBS, FOX and CW for the Entire Night Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

NEW YORK – AUGUST 8, 2017 – Univision’s epic Monday night featured two back-to-back historical series that made Univision the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night among Total Viewers 2+. The story of a man with a prophetic gift who rises to power, “José de Egipto,” reached 4.9 million Total Viewers 2+ who tuned in to all or part of the two-hour finale while positioning Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the time slot, outperforming its closest competitor by double-digit margins among Adults 18-49 (+24%) and Total Viewers 2+ (+59%). Filmed in the most stunning locations around the world, the finale telecast of this mega-production from Brazil averaged 2.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 million Adults 18-49 and 411,000 Adults 18-34. The uplifting tale about love, sibling rivalry and forgiveness also outperformed the original airings of CBS’ “CBSN: On Assignment,” NBC’s “Midnight, Texas,” FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and CW’s “Hooten and the Lady” on this night among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

The new and captivating series “La Tierra Prometida” reached 3.9 million Total Viewers 2+, who tuned in to all or part of the one-hour premiere. Filmed in Egypt, Israel and Chile, and filled with adventure, temptation, intrigue, and forbidden love, the series premiere averaged 2.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 805,000 Adults 18-49 and 309,000 Adults 18-34. “La Tierra Prometida” also delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 than the original airings of CBS’ “CBSN: On Assignment” as well as outperformed the first-run episode of NBC’s “Midnight, Texas” with the young 18 to 34 demographic.

For the entire night (8:00pm-11:00pm), Univision finished as the No. 4 broadcast network, out-delivering CBS, FOX and CW among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
