Univision is No. 2 for the Entire Week – Beating ABC, CBS, and FOX Among Adults 18-34

Univision is the No. 1 Spanish-Language Network for the 16th Consecutive Week

For the entire week, Univision finished as the No. 2 broadcast network, regardless of language, with Adults 18-34 and ranked No. 4 among Adults 18-49.

  • With Adults 18-34 Univision beat ABC (+18%) and FOX (+21%) by double-digit margins, and out-delivered CBS by (+3%). Univision also outperformed FOX by +7% among Adults 18-49.

In the current week, Univision was the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision posted double-digit percentage advantages over its closest competitor among Total Viewers 2+ (+37%), Adults 18-49 (+27%) and Adults 18-34 (+18%).

  • 2016/2017 season to-date, Univision continues to be the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+, outperforming its closest Spanish-language competitor for sixteen consecutive weeks.
  • 2016/2017 season to-date, Univision continues to be the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Adults 18-49.

Airing “José de Egipto” (Joseph of Egypt), Univision out-ranked FOX as the No. 4 broadcast network during the weekday 8pm hour among Adults 18-34. “José de Egipto” grew its week-to-week audience with Total Viewers 2+ (+8% to 2.1 million), Adults 18-49 (+12% to 845,000) and Adults 18-34 (+9% to 334,000). “José de Egipto” was also the top Spanish-language pick among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 for the weekday 8pm hour.

Univision maintained its advantage over FOX during the Monday-Friday 9pm hour with Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Airing “La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo” (The Double Life of Estela Carrillo), Univision secured its position as the No. 1 Spanish-language network in the aforementioned demographics. “La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo” grew its audience over the previous week with Adults 18-49 (+3% to 708,000).

During the Weekday 10pm hour, Univision was the No. 3 network with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, beating both CBS and ABC.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night this past week among Adults 18-34 and six out of seven nights with Adults 18-49.

  • On Monday night, Univision outperformed CBS and FOX as the No. 4 broadcast network among Adults 18-34. Univision surpassed CBS (+76%) and FOX (+2%) with Adults 18-34. Univision also edged out CBS (+1%) among Adults 18-49.
    • This marks the eighth consecutive Monday that Univision out-delivered CBS among Adults 18-34.
  • Univision was the No. 3 broadcast network among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 on Tuesday night ahead of ABC, CBS, and FOX in both demographics
    • Univision delivered more than half the Adults 18-34 viewers than ABC (+65%), CBS (+61%), and FOX (+57%).
    • Not only did Univision beat ABC (+17%) and FOX (+52%) by double-digit margins, Univision also averaged more Adults 18-49 than CBS (+3%).
  • On Wednesday night Univision ABC (+38%) and beat NBC (+2%) among Adults 18-34.
  • Univision rose to the No. 2 network position on Thursday night with both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, outperforming ABC, NBC, and FOX in both demographics.
    • Univision more than doubled the Adults 18-34 viewers of ABC (+125%) while holding a strong advantage over FOX (+55%) and NBC (+37%).
    • Among Adults 18-49, Univision also beat ABC (+50%), FOX (+18%) and NBC (+2%).
  • On Friday night Univision outperformed FOX with both Adults 18-49 (+4%) and Adults 18-34 (+7%).
    • In the current season, Univision is the top pick over FOX among Adults 18-34. Univision attracted more Adults 18-34 viewers than FOX on 35 out of 44 Friday nights, 80% of the nights this season-to-date.
  • On Saturday night, Univision out-delivered ABC and CBS with both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, ranking as the No. 3 network with Adults 18-34.
    • With Adults 18-49, Univision out-delivered ABC (+4%) and CBS (+50%). Univision also delivered more than double the Adults 18-34 viewers of CBS (+106%) and held a double-digit percentage advantage over NBC (+16%) and ABC (+63%) among Adults 18-34.
  • Airing Gold Cup coverage, Univision held the No. 1 network position for the third consecutive Sunday night among Adults 18-34 and rose to No. 1 position with Adults 18-49.
    • For the third consecutive Sunday Univision more than doubled the Adults 18-34 audience of FOX (+151%) and outperformed ABC (+70%), NBC (+55%) and CBS (+24%).
    • Univision averaged more than double the Adults 18-49 audience of FOX (+129%), surpassed NBC and ABC by +19%, and beat CBS by +14%.
