Univision is No. 1 for the Week – Beating ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC – Among Adults 18-34 and No. 3 with Adults 18-49, Ahead of ABC and FOX

Univision is the No. 1 Spanish-Language Network for the Fourteenth Consecutive Week

For the entire week, Univision finished as the No. 1 broadcast network, regardless of language, with Adults 18-34 and No. 3 among Adults 18-49.

  • Univision was the top pick with Adults 18-34, beating ABC (+36%), FOX (+48%), NBC (+9%), and CBS (+5%).
  • Univision outperformed FOX (+21%) and ABC among Adults 18-49.

In the current week, Univision was the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision posted double-digit percentage advantages over its competitor among Total Viewers 2+ (+41%), Adults 18-49 (+32%) and Adults 18-34 (+28%).

  • 2016/2017 season to-date, Univision continues to be the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Total Viewers 2+, outperforming its closest Spanish-language competitor for fourteen consecutive weeks.
  • 2016/2017 season to-date, Univision continues to be the No. 1 Spanish-language network among Adults 18-49.

In its third week on air Univision’s series “José de Egipto” (Joseph of Egypt), helped Univision rank as the No. 3 broadcast network during the Monday-Friday 8pm hour with both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Univision beat ABC and FOX with both aforementioned demographics.

  • “José de Egipto” (Joseph of Egypt) attracted 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 701,000 Adults 18-49 and 284,000 Adults 18-34. “José de Egipto” was also the top Spanish-language pick among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 for the weekday 8pm hour.

“La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo” (The Double Life of Estela Carrillo) helped Univision rank as the No. 3 broadcast network beating ABC and FOX among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 during the Monday-Friday 9pm hour. Univision posted double-digit percentage advantages over FOX with Adults 18-34 (+73%) and Adults 18-49 (+37%). “La Doble Vida de Estela Carrillo” averaged 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 609,000 Adults 18-49 and 258,000 Adults 18-34.

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night this past week among Adults 18-34 and six out of seven nights with Adults 18-49.

  • On Monday night, Univision outperformed CBS, ABC and FOX as the No. 3 broadcast network among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
    • Among Adults 18-49, Univision beat CBS by (+4%), ABC (+8%) and FOX (+11%).
    • With Adults 18-34 Univision surpassed ABC (+38%), CBS (+22%) and FOX (+31%) by double-digit margins.
    • This marks the sixth consecutive Monday that Univision out-delivered CBS among Adults 18-34 and the third consecutive Monday with Adults 18-49.
  • Univision was the No.3 broadcast network on Tuesday night with Adults 18-34 and ranked No. 4 with Adults 18-49.
    • With Adults 18-49, Univision delivered more viewers than ABC (+9%) and FOX (+28%) for the night.
    • Univision averaged significantly more Adults 18-34 viewers of ABC (+58%)and FOX (+59%), and beat CBS by +7%.
  • On Wednesday night Univision held the No. 4 network position among Adults 18-34, beating ABC for the sixth consecutive week. Furthermore, Univision posted double-digit advantages over ABC (+18%) and CBS (+13%) with Adult 18-34.
  • The 14th annual Premios Juventud catapulted Univision to the No. 1 network on Thursday night among Adults 18-34 and No. 2 with Adults 18-49. The three-hour live broadcast reached 7.9 million Total Viewers 2+ and averaged 2.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 and 592,000 Adults 18-34.
    • This marks the tenth consecutive year Univision ranked No. 1 with Adults 18-34 on “Premios Juventud” night.
    • “Premios Juventud” was the second most-watched program on broadcast television among Adults 18-34 and the fourth most-watched program among Adults 18-49.
    • Univision outperformed ABC (+48%), NBC (+20%) and FOX (+52%) by double-digit margins with Adults 18-49.
    • Univision averaged more than double the Adults 18-34 audience of ABC (+102%), nearly double that of NBC (+86%) and FOX (+94%).
  • On Friday night, Univision out-delivered FOX with both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, ranking as the No. 4 broadcast network with Adults 18-34.
    • With Adults 18-49, Univision beat FOX by +11%. Univision also held a double-digit percentage advantage over FOX (+46%) and CBS (+24%) among Adults 18-34.
    • In the current season, Univision is the top pick over FOX among Adults 18-34. Univision attracted more Adults 18-34 viewers than FOX on 33 out of 42 Friday nights, 79% of the nights this season-to-date.
  • Univision was the No. 4 broadcast network on Saturday night with Adults 18-34, holding advantages over ABC (+7%) and CBS (+88%) for the night.
    • Among Adults 18-49 Univision delivered +25% more viewers than CBS.
  • Airing back-to-back live Gold Cup matches, Univision rose to the No. 1 network position on Sunday night among Adults 18-34 and No. 3 with Adults 18-49.
    • Univision more than doubled the Adults 18-34 audience of NBC (+133%) and FOX (+164%) and surpassed ABC (+27%) and CBS (+14%) by double-digit margins.
    • Univision outperformed NBC (+58%) and more than doubled the audience of FOX (+112%) with Adults 18-49.
