Hispanic network Univision has backed a winner in the US with the reality singing show La Reina de la Canción.

According to Nielsen figures, 4.8 million total viewers 2+ tuned in to all or part of Univision’s two-hour broadcast of the show, averaging two million viewers.
The figures delivered by La Reina de la Canción positioned Univision as the No 1 Spanish-language network during the show. For the entire night, Univision was the second most watched network among adults 18-34, out-doing CBS, NBC, FOX and CW.
Locally, the show’s finale had a strong impact in Miami, Sacramento, Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco and Phoenix, especially among adults 18-34.
In addition to linear TV ratings, La Reina de La Canción also led social engagement ranking as the most socially-engaged series programme of the day.
