MIAMI, FL – MAY 18, 2017 – Summer is on the way, and so is the 2017 edition of Univision’s “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards), celebrating fans’ favorite music, stars, and young individuals making an impact in our community. In addition to awards in categories such as “Best Song for Singing,” “Best Fashionista, “Best Song for Dancing,” “Best Instagram,” and “Breakthrough Artist” the program will recognize young Latinos who have made a difference on issues that matter the most to millennials, from education to social inclusion to climate change.
This year’s celebration — a visually stunning three-hour extravaganza — will air on the Univision Network on Thursday, July 6, starting at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. CT) with celebrity arrivals. Under the theme “Apostando por el Futuro” (Betting on the Future), top names will come to entertain audiences with a larger-than-life summertime celebration of talent, youth, music and positive change.
In another first for the show, stars will recognize young Latinos for their work towards creating a better world through their action in various important issues like education, social inclusion and the environment.
“Premios Juventud 2017 will celebrate the best musical talent that appeals to the young Latino audience in a revamped format with fresh and fun categories,” said Univision’s President of Music Jorge “Pepo” Ferradas. “We will further connect with the younger generation by inviting new artists and recognizing important issues and amazing individuals who make our world a better place.”
Fans can vote for their favorites in each category on PremiosJuventud.com/Vota from May 18, 2017 at 7 a.m. ET/ 4 a.m. PT thru June 1, 2017 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT in the 50 US States and District of Columbia (Puerto Rico not included).Winners will be announced during the “Premios Juventud” live broadcast.

MIAMI, FL – 18 DE MAYO DE 2017 – El verano está por llegar, y junto con él viene la edición 2017 de “Premios Juventud” de Univision, donde se premiará a la música y estrellas favoritas de los fans, como también a jóvenes que están generando un impacto positivo en su comunidad. Además de premios en categorías como “Mejor canción para cantar”, “Mejor fashionista”, “Mejor canción para bailar”, “Mejor Instagram” y “Artista revelación”, el programa otorgará reconocimiento a jóvenes latinos que han tenido un impacto en asuntos de importancia para la mayoría de los millennials, desde la educación hasta la inclusión social y el cambio climático.
La celebración de este año — un fantástico espectáculo de tres horas con impresionantes efectos visuales— se trasmitirá por la Cadena Univision el jueves, 6 de julio a partir de las 7 p.m. Este/Pacífico (6 p.m. Centro) y dará inicio con la llegada de las celebridades. El tema de este año será “Apostando por el Futuro” y el evento congregará a destacadas personalidades que deleitarán a la audiencia con una celebración majestuosa de talento, juventud, música y cambios positivos.
Por primera vez en el programa, las estrellas otorgarán reconocimiento a jóvenes latinos por su labor para crear un mundo mejor en importantes campos, como educación, inclusión social y medio ambiente.
“Premios Juventud 2017 celebrará al mejor talento musical que cautiva a la audiencia latina joven con un formato renovado y categorías nuevas y divertidas”, dijo Jorge “Pepo” Ferradas, presidente de Música de Univision. “Nos conectaremos aún más con la generación más joven al invitar a nuevos artistas y tomar en cuenta asuntos importantes y personas admirables que hacen del mundo un lugar mejor”.
