UniMás Beats Telemundo Among Adults 18-49 and for the Second Consecutive Week Among Total Viewers 2+, Finishing Week as the No. 2 Spanish-Language Network

UniMás Outperforms Telemundo on 4 out of 7 Nights Among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 for the Week, and 8 of the Past 14 Nights Overall

UniMás averaged 876,000 Total Viewers 2+, 424,000 Adults 18-49 and 159,000 Adults 18-34 for the entire week during prime.

  • Compared to the corresponding week in 2016, the network reported double-digit audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+33%) and Adults 18-49 (+24%) and attracted +7% more Adults 18-34, while delivering +3% more Adults 18-49 compared to the previous week.
  • UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network, beating Telemundo, for the entire week for the second consecutive week among Total Viewers 2+ (+8% adv., 876,000 vs. 810,000), while also out-delivering Telemundo among Adults 18-49 (+12% adv., 424,000 vs. 379,000).
  • UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network with Total Viewers 2+, out-delivering Telemundo, on Thursday night (+15% adv.; 992,000 vs.863,000) and Friday night (+27% adv.; 956,00 vs. 752,000) as well as with Adults 18-49 on Thursday night (+15% adv., 463,000 vs. 402,000) and Friday night (+30% adv., 461,000 vs. 355,000), driving the network to finish within the Top 10 networks on both nights among Adults 18-49. Additionally, UniMás beat Telemundo on Friday night among Adults 18-34 (+12% adv., 172,000 vs. 154,000), propelling the network to finish as the No. 5 broadcast network for the night.

UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-language network during weekday prime (M-F 8-11pm), out-delivering Telemundo, among Total Viewers 2+ (+1% adv., 886,000 vs. 879,000).

  • 8pm series, “Moisés y Los Diez Mandamientos” (Moses and the Ten Commandments) enjoyed week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-49 (+1% to 528,000).
  • Primarily driven by “Moisés y Los Diez Mandamientos,” UniMás out-delivered Telemundo head-to-head in the M-F 8-10pm time period for the second consecutive week by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+31% adv., 1.1 Million vs. 860,000), Adults 18-49 (+27% adv., 509,000 vs. 400,000) and by +8% with Adults 18-34 (182,000 vs. 169,000).

UniMás’ Saturday night lineup consisting of the feature film “Cine Cantinflas: El Ministro y Yo” and series “Los Mosqueteros” (The Musketeers) outperformed Telemundo in the 8pm to 11pm time period making it the No. 2 Spanish-language broadcast network on this night among Total Viewers 2+ (+33% adv.; 657,000 vs. 493,000), Adults 18-49 (+33% adv.; 272,000 vs. 205,000) and Adults 18-34 (+21% adv., 108,000 vs. 89,000).

  • The network increased its audience from prior Saturday by +14% among Total Viewers 2+, by +12% among Adults 18-49 and by +13% among Adults 18-34.
  • At 10pm, the second airing of “Los Mosqueteros” increased its audience from prior Saturday among Total Viewers 2+ (+23% to 500,000), Adults 18-49 (+27% to 224,000) and Adults 18-34 (+25% to 69,000).

On Sunday night, UniMás ranked as the No. 2 Spanish-Language network beating Telemundo by strong margins among Total Viewers 2+ (+28% adv.; 1.0 Million vs. 786,000), Adults 18-49 (+57% adv.; 572,000 vs. 365,000) and Adults 18-34 (+45% adv., 235,000 vs. 162,000).

  • The network reported audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+32%), Adults 18-49 (+46%) and Adults 18-34 (+47%) over the prior Sunday thanks to its lineup which consisted of soccer match, “Liga MX Guadalajara vs. Atlas” and “Cine de las Estrellas: Colombiana.”
  • Year-over-year, UniMás attracted +27% more Total Viewers 2+, +53% more Adults 18-49 and +55% more Adults 18-34 on this night.

UniMás, on average, delivered more Total Viewers 2+ (+96%), Adults 18-49 (+103%) and Adults 18-34 (+106%) than the combined audience of Azteca and Estrella TV.
