“Vino El Amor” (Then Came Love) Made Univision the No. 1 Pick Among Young Adults 18-34 Weekdays at 9pm

Week of December 26, 2016 to January 1, 2017

Univision was the No. 4 Broadcast Network among young Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS (+1%) for the second consecutive week.

Univision out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six of the seven nights this week among young Adults 18-34. Univision also out-delivered FOX on five nights among Adults 18-49.

For the second consecutive Monday night, Univision ranked as the No. 2 Broadcast network among young Adults 18-34. This also marks the second consecutive Monday that Univision clinched the No. 4 network position among Adults 18-49 and third week among Total Viewers 2+.

  • Univision’s entire prime novela line-up ranked among the top 10 programs for the night among young Adults 18-34 (#6) and top 15 with Adults 18-49 (#12) and Total Viewers 2+ (#15).
  • Univision out-delivered FOX across key demographics including Total Viewers 2+ (+24%), Adults 18-49 (+73%) and nearly double the young Adults 18-34 viewers (+98%).
  • This is the fourth consecutive Monday night that Univision attracted more young Adults 18-34 than ABC (+21%).

Univision was the No. 2 Broadcast network on Tuesday night, out-delivering ABC (+37%), NBC (+14%) by double digit margins and more than double the audience of FOX (+112%) among young Adults 18-34.

  • Univision beat FOX by (+50%) with Adults 18-49.
  • Univision averaged more Total Viewers 2+ than FOX (+24%) to rank as the No. 4 network for the night.

Univision maintained its No. 2 Broadcast network rank for the second consecutive Wednesday night, out-delivering CBS (+7%), NBC (+13%) and FOX (+20%) among young Adults 18-34. Among Adults 18-49, Univision held the No. 4 rank, out-delivering FOX by (+5%).

On Thursday night Univision solidified its No. 2 Broadcast network rank with young Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+27%), NBC (+32%), CBS (+3%) and FOX (+29%).

Airing its prime novela line-up, Univision was the No. 1 broadcast network for the second consecutive Friday night with young Adults 18-34. Univision also finished the night as the No. 3 broadcast network with Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 4 with Total Viewers 2+.

Airing Mon-Fri this week…

  • Univision’s 8pm novela, “Despertar Contigo” (Waking Up With You) averaged 1.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 691,000 Adults 18-49 (up +4% versus the prior week) and 339,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Helped Univision rank above FOX as the No. 3 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34 and No. 4 broadcast network with Adults 18-49 during the Mon-Fri 8pm hour.
  • Following at 9pm “Vino el Amor” (Then Came Love) attracted 2.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 884,000 Adults 18-49 and 422,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Helped Univision rank as the No. 1 broadcast network with young Adults 18-34 and No. 4 broadcast network with both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 during the Mon-Fri 9pm hour.
  • Airing at 10pm, “El Color de la Pasión” (The Color of Passion) averaged 2.0 Million Total Viewers 2+, 871,000 Adults 18-49 and 389,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Solidified Univision as the No. 2 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34 during the Mon-Fri 10pm hour, besting ABC (+39%), NBC (+34%) and CBS (+56%). Univision also rank No. 4 with both Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 during the Mon-Fri 10pm hour.

Airing New Year’s Eve coverage on Saturday night, Univision was the No. 3 broadcast network among both Adults 18-49 and young Adults 18-34, beating CBS and FOX in the aforementioned demographics. Univision also out-delivered FOX for the night with Total Viewers 2+, ranking as the No. 4 network.

Univision’s Sunday night programming…

  • At 7pm “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) averaged 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 609,000 Adults 18-49 and 225,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Following at 8pm Univision’s Gran Estreno movie, “Salvando al Soldado Pérez” (Saving Private Perez), attracted 1.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 514,000 Adults 18-49 and 249,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Building on its lead-in, the 10pm “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) attracted 1.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 586,000 Adults 18-49 and 228,000 young Adults 18-34.
