Univision Outperformed ABC and FOX for the Week Among Young Adults 18-34

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of August 15, 2016 to August 21, 2016

  • For the week of August 15th, Univision…
    • Ranked as the No. 4 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming ABC and FOX.
    • Out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six nights among young Adults 18-34.
  • Airing Mon-Fri 8pm, “Un Camino Hacia el Destino” (A Path to Destiny) helped Univision rank as the No. 4 network in the hour among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming FOX in each demographic. “Un Camino Hacia el Destino” averaged 1.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 727,000 Adults 18-49 and 353,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • Airing Mon-Fri 9pm, “Tres Veces Ana” (Three Times Ana) helped Univision rank as the No. 3 network in the hour among young Adults 18-34, outperforming ABC, CBS and FOX.  “Tres Veces Ana” saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+3% to 1.9 million).
  • Airing Mon-Fri 10pm, a second episode of “Tres Veces Ana” helped Univision rank as the No. 3 network in the hour among young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, outperforming ABC and CBS in both demographics.  “Tres Veces Ana” averaged 1.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 726,000 Adults 18-49 and 323,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • On Saturday, airing back-to-back Liga MX matches…
    • Univision ranked as the No. 3 broadcast network among young Adults 18-34, outperforming ABC, CBS and FOX.
    • Airing 7:55-9:57pm, Tigres vs. Pachuca averaged 710,000 Total Viewers 2+, 369,000 Adults 18-49 and 136,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Next, Guadalajara vs. Atlas averaged 1.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 550,000 Adults 18-49 and 249,000 young Adults 18-34.
  • On Sunday…
    • Airing 7-8pm, “Aquí y Ahora” (Here and Now) averaged 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 448,000 Adults 18-49 and 198,000 young Adults 18-34.
    • Next, airing 8-10pm, “Va Por Ti” (This One’s For You) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+10% to 1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+11% to 678,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+26% to 294,000).
    • Finally, “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+29% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+45% to 675,000) and +53% to 299,000).
