Sunday’s Copa América Centenario Argentina/Chile Final was the Highest Rated Copa Final in History, Attracting 6.2 Million Total Viewers 2+ and 3.4 Million Adults 18-49

- Airing 7:30-10:56pm, the Copa América Centenario final match (simulcast on UDN) between Argentina and Chile averaged 6.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 3.4 million Adults 18-49 and 1.6 million young Adults 18-34. Viewership was the highest for any Copa América final in history and the best for any men’s soccer since the World Cup final.
- Bookending the match at 6pm and 10:56pm, Fútbol Central and Contacto Deportivo (both simulcast on UDN) respectively delivered 1.6 million and 4.4 million Total Viewers 2+.

- Attracted more viewers compared to the same week in 2015 (+34% Total Viewers 2+, +51% Adults 18-49 and +60% young Adults 18-34).
- Out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) every night among young Adults 18-34.
- Airing M, TH-F 8pm, “Un Camino Hacia el Destino” (A Path to Destiny) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+2% to 1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+2% to 711,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+9% to 348,000).
- Airing M, TH-F 9pm, “Tres Veces Ana” (Three Times Ana) saw week-to-week growth among Total Viewers 2+ (+2% to 1.7 million), Adults 18-49 (+2% to 783,000) and young Adults 18-34 (+7% to 374,000).
- Finally, at 10pm (M, TH), “Yago” averaged 1.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 490,000 Adults 18-49 and 215,000 young Adults 18-34.
- On Tuesday, airing 8:30-11:04pm, the Copa América Centenario match between USA and Argentina helped Univision rank as the No. 1 and No. 2 broadcast network for the entire evening, respectively, among young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Simulcast across Univision and UDN, the match delivered 4.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.3 million Adults 18-49 and 1.0 million young Adults 18-34. Preceding the match (8pm), Fútbol Central delivered 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 893,000 Adults 18-49 and 378,000 young Adults 18-34.
- On Wednesday, airing 7:31pm-12:21am, the match between Colombia and Chile helped Univision rank as the No. 1 broadcast network for the entire evening among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Simulcast across Univision and UDN, the match delivered 3.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.9 million Adults 18-49 and 836,000 young Adults 18-34. During the match, an 80-minute rain delay (9:10-10:30pm) delivered 3.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.0 million Adults 18-49 and 963,000 young Adults 18-34.
- On Friday, Univision aired a special presentation of “Aquí y Ahora: El Omar Que Yo Conocí,” which featured an interview with the man who claimed to be the lover of Omar Mateen, the shooter at a gay nightclub in Orlando. Airing 10-11pm, the special averaged 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 529,000 Adults 18-49 and 215,000 young Adults 18-34.
- On Saturday, airing Copa América Centenario and Fútbol MLS (both simulcast on UDN), Univision ranked as the No. 1 broadcast network among both young Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.
- Airing 7:30-10:17pm, the Copa América Centenario 3rd place match USA vs. Colombia averaged 2.5 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 and 593,000 young Adults 18-34. Viewership was the highest for any 3rd place game in Copa América history.
- Airing 10:17pm-12:30am, the Fútbol MLS match San Jose vs. LA Galaxy averaged 1.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 548,000 Adults 18-49 and 280,000 young Adults 18-34.
